Finally got letter from customs!

I haven't read that much of this thread but I thought I would give a little insight on what I know as a employee at a major shipping company (our favorite color is brown, figure it out). The only time the feds EVER come to the hub is during Christmas season because our volume increases tremendously, which means that more people will think it's not as noticeable to ship illegal goods. Throughout the rest of the year, however, it is incredibly easy to ship drugs and alcohol throughout the US because nobody will ever look inside the box. Find a domestic source that ships brown.
Warning in advance: dont read this unless you are really bored or semi-paronoid 
the theory that w/o the gear there is no crime is not quite correct; I do not diagree the main felony we worry about is possesion, but there are a number of federal statutes that the info on the hard drive would support.
lets see, email about $$ exchange for illegal substances + bank trace shows that exact amount withdrawn on that date + a video at apoo's kwiki-mart of you using a different name to send a WU + that is traced to an identifed bad guy (or bad name). Sorry, but that is enough to get an indictment for a violation of at leaast four federal statutes that i can think of w/o even trying.
I am not saying this would happen to the average indiv, but what if you get a bored assitant us atty in Tulsa tired of prosecuting meth cases and federal land cases and an FBI agent who just likes playing dick tracy.
Moreover, each state has different laws and even "attempted possession" may be a problem (although i don't know).
Thus, that is why I agree that if one would spend a few grand on gear and not switch a cheap hard drive --- because the HD is the glue that holds all the other events together is is penny wise and pound idiotic.
Granted this sceniario may never happen, but it could depending on the individual circumstances....but that's just my 2 cents--

The reality is that this whole event is now probably finished. You dispose of the letter and nothing will be ever heard from again. That said the advice of Needto is accurate for your own sanity. Why have that worry when for a small amount of time, money and effort you can be completely clean if the unfortunate circumstance alluded to be eddy ever where to happen, as unlikely as it may seem.

How did they know what was in the "packets" ?? I mean what evidence do they have to hold it if they are not sure. Im sure they dont have a steroid tester right there with them.
