Finally, an article that isn't completely mindless...

Since the man suffered with cocaine addiction I'll bet my left nut (not right) that that's what caused his demise. But somehow every article will go deep into the steroid issue, just to make sure it's on top of everyones mind. They should have done that dissrotation on cocaine, not juice.

I'm completely stunned... However, I'm sure the article will be retracted and an appology given. Along with the writer being fired.

I wouldn't be surprised if something like that did happen.

What is certain is that federal policy toward steroids — as is the case with any other illegal drug — makes them even more dangerous.

THank you very fuckin much. At least there is one smart person in the media that has a few brain cells. Now if we can get at least one politician to realize this...

That's what happens when you get someone from the left writing on FOX. It doesn't happen often so frame it and save it.
This part had me thinking he's been reading my posts over the last 3 years. I think I have posted this about 20 times. Except I didn't post the AMA because he's wrong about that. It was NIH and Health and Human Services. The AMA did not take a stand at the time and still has no formal stand. But I'll give him that, the rest of article could have been written by any of us.

What's perhaps surprising is that the American Medical Association, the Food and Drug Administration, the National Institute on Drug Abuse and even the Drug Enforcement Administration all opposed the proposed reclassification of steroids. These are experts, and mostly experts predisposed to advocating more stringent federal control of drugs. Even so, each group argued vociferously against making steroid use and distribution a more serious crime. Lawmakers, as they are wont to do, didn't listen. Congress voted into law the 1990 Anabolic Steroids Control Act, which meant that even first-time users could be sent to prison for their "crime."
