This is not an AS question, but since there have been some heated arguments going on lately this will help to reduce the stress and make everyone laugh (hopefully).

psfights.com they have tons of street fights

This was the best I have seen so far, watched about 40 different ones so far. The guy is an animal asking for the other guy to hit him. Wish it was more of a spontaneous fight, but it was still awesome.

Ahh,the infamous 'kimbo'...He was real popular here about a year ago or so.Lots of threads about him in the past.He had another good fight with a NHB guy,a big white dude.White dude wore him down and fucked him up,but he landed some good haymakers on him first.
 
very tough mother fucker...i know the nhb guy who beat him...i would choke that fool out before he could blink...hahaha..but i definatly wouldnt throw blows with him...i would take it to the ground and end it

Yeah,well you could see that Gannon literally could have guillotined him and put him unconscious right at the begining if it was allowed.He had him in one,but it was against their pre-determined rules of the match,so he couldn't sink it in.Fight would have been over immediately had it been allowed.

First of all, thanks for the link. A couple of comments:

These videos only prove why I'll teach my kids to fight. Not the strip mall cardio-sport stuff either. Don't get me wrong, that has its place. But I'll be teaching my kids real fighting.

If you watch a lot of those videos, you'll notice a lot of outside interference. So a street fight has to end quickly. Even though most go to the ground and that's a great way to end a fight, you have to recovery to your feet quickly to avoid some random person kicking you in the face or gut.

Also, you can't win if you're outnumbered. The best way to survive overwhelming odds is to not be there.

Also, what are the unwritten rules of street fighting? I watched a lot of the fights get broken up before they were finished. Is it the "don't disturb the herd" mentality?
 
yea that jumping in crap was fucked up, id have been pissed, that black dude that looked like lttle john WHAAAATTTTT, YYEEAAAAHHHH...... that was bullshit
 
Couple more comments:

A quick jab and a solid Muay Thai knee in the clinch would win most of these fights. (Found the video that supports this observation: http://www.psfights.com/details.php?image_id=560 )

Girls ALWAYS go for the hair! :FRlol: Again, the knee to the face would be a quick ending for the girl fights.

Do latinos fight more or do they just have more camcorders around? :chomp:
 
I'm teaching my kids right now.
Okinawa karate in close fighting (not 10' away sport karate)
and ju-jutsu.

everybody talks about how fights go to the ground well fuck you better know how to not fall on your head or your back :)

anyway, I teach no rules what-so-ever.
biting, eye gouge, fish hook, kick ribs with heel when you're on your back
elbow to head, kick outside femoral nerve AND inside AND groin (female or male)

anyway as long as we teach our kids something it will help them in a street situation.

ps. my kids are girls :)

I was thinking about this yesterday. Got 1 son for now, and he is only 3 months old. Will probably teach him at least the basics. To me there is a plus and minus with teaching him/her how to fight.

Plus - be able to defend yourself

Minus - thinking you know what you are doing and always looking for a fight to prove yourself.
 
those fights were weak!! I got in a few brawls bouncin in frisco where I would LOVED to have somebody step in and say "illegal procedure".. :rolleyes: It was close enough....but definitely not "street" fighting, I mean...no one was allowed to go to the ground....no elbows either it looked like....and no knees? WTF!! Again....would have liked to abide by those pussy rules when I was wrestling with 3 guys dropping elbows to the back of my head!!.... :rolleyes:

That is why there is more to raising a child than teaching them to fight. You must also raise them to be a good person. I'm sure you're on it.

And if you think they're always spoiling for a fight, beat their ass to show them that no matter how tough they think they are, there is always someone better (or luckier).

I never considered the 2nd and 3rd order effects of having a kid, especially a girl, but I will meet the challenges head on.

This is obvious as well, but you can hope that your child will retain what you say and teach to them. We all know some kids that are idiots, but there parents seem to be good parents.

The key is to teach not to fight, unless there is no other option. But there should always be another option, unless the other person is a fucking idiot that has to prove they have some sort of balls to their friends.
 
Those are some crazy fighters.
That first fight was good. Kimbo is one hell of a tough dude.
Second fight was cool too. That Boston cop was one tough son of a bitch.
Man, the endurance alone in that fight would have had me on the ground dead.

Kimbo is a beast, but Gannon could have choked him out about 4 times, and wtf they said no knees? this is fighting and gannon is a mma fighter
 
True, I remeber seeing that lock he had him in at the start.
It would have been all over.
Goes to show you that the ground game is just as important as the striking.

This was posted on page 1 or 2. Its funny to see how Kimbo's team was all mad that he had him in the head hold at the beginning, and they were trying to break them apart. Then a few seconds later Kimbo had Gannon on the ground punching him, and then Kimbo's team was pushing everyone back. What the fuck is that shit about. I thought they were trying to say that they both had to be standing.

Still funny, because the Gannon still won the fight in the end.

and kimbo only got gannon on the ground because of the interference from his boys. The whole place was pack full of monkeys though.....everyone hopping around yelling at each other and their fighters. This was just a pit fight....nothing honorable on the table accept green colored paper.
 
I liked watching those fights, I think Gannon got canned or severly reprimanded from the Police Dept he was working for, which I think was Boston.

Well I have been watchin a few fight vids recently due to this thread. I found a clip that I wanted to share, not really sure why just did. Now I want to see if this clip pisses any other bros off as bad as it does me.

Neither Kimbo or Gannon are great fighters, yes it was a nice brawl but these two against even a b level mma fighter would get destroyed (see: gannon vs. brandon lee hinkle). Word on the street is kimbo may be fighting ryo chonan (who weighs 40 lbs less) in pride sometime soon (since they seem to love freak show fights over there). Chonan by heelhook if it happens. In addition the guy with the dread locks who keeps interfearing in the gannon fight is kimbos manager, 10k was riding on the fight if i remember correctly.

I can't stand the cheap shot guys. My story:

Walking from a house party to some bars with my friend. We're a little tanked and he's walking faster than me. He's maybe 30 feet ahead. I see 5 guys walking to my left and we were going to cross paths. I was initially suspicious, but then thought, nah nothing is going to happen. It's a public place, don't be quick to judge, blah blah blah.

Then, BAM! I was clotheslined hard and went down on my back. I hit my elbow really hard and thought it was broken, but I was getting up to fight this guy. As I'm getting up, his buddy comes in from the side and busts me in the face. At this point, I'm down and not getting up. Luckily, my friend has seen this and is charging hard (6'3" about 240lbs). All 5 guys take off, not being able to handle a real fight. He does catch one of them, knees him in the face a couple of times and then comes to check on me.

Lesson learned: ALWAYS trust your instincts.

WOW!! That clip couldn't be more stereotypical.....there's a name for that kind of punch that I won't relay.....because I worked with black guys in frisco as a bouncer, and those guys would have NEVER taken a shot like that unless it was a gang fight. That kid was outnumbered and still bowed up to the original dude who pushed him....why not let that fight go down? OH NO.....we couldn't do that, and to watch the monkey that cheap shotted him have the audacity to stand over him like he's iron mike is simply astounding. I would be embarrassed for myself if a friend of mine had to do that for me when a guy that we outnumbered bowed up to me. WEAK!!

Yea this was on the website that I posted also. This bitch pisses me off just as much as the fuckers that jump 1 person. Especially this little bitch, running his fucking mouth like he is a bad ass, and the he knocks him from a blind side. What the fuck is he supposed to do? I don't fight, but if I saw a little bitch like this, I would have to do something, probably choke the fucker until he passed out. I hate all these gangster wanna be's. They are the main reason why we have crime in America. They do nothing for the world.
