FF337 Lipoflame Thread

dabuffguy,

From my original post:
Well, I am stepping it up a notch with Cardio 4x's per week. Plus strength training. Plus a more strict diet designed by my doctor. He gave me a book filled with day by day, plug and play diets at roughly 1500 calories per day.

I started the 5x5 this morning after I talked to the doc again. I made a mistake. I wrote down 1500 calories in my notes, he wrote 2500 in his notes. The mistake was on my part, he gave me the book of "around 1500 calories per day" as a reading reference to teach me how much food I had to consume to get just 1500 calories.

I am going to up the caloric intake to 2300 - 2700 per day.
HIIT Cardio 5 days per week
I started the 5x5 consisting of Squats, Deadlifts and Bench. I am not sure of the frequency I should be lifting. But I plan to go 2 days on, 2 days off. I work every third day at the firehouse.

Any more suggestions are greatful.

Sorry for any enemies I made.

Hrmm..not sure of your current situation regarding your physical stats, so post up your weight, height, bench/squat/dl/press maxes, training experience and the details of your job(how hard the work and how long)

Trying to determine whether the 5x5 is right for you.

6'2"
270 this morning
This morning workout got some baselines
Bench 275 for 6 reps
Squat 300 1 rep max - Have not done squats in 2 years ?
Deadlift 255 for 6 reps

When I was serious - Weight Training - Worked out religiously for 4 years 2002-2004
High School - Lifted for wrestling

My job = FF/EMT-I
24 hour work Day = 2-4 hours of low intensity activity (Cleaning Chores, Washing Truck, etc)
The rest of the day is sitting around unless we get a call, which can be pretty vigorous. But I can not rely on calls for exersize.

The only reason I chose the 5x5 was to get a solid base built again. This is not set in stone.
