Feds easing up on Steroid busts.

I read this article in the latest Muscular Development.

"People hooked on crack, cocaine, or heroin often comit violent crimes, steal, and destroy their families to maintain their drug habits. Their actions eat away at the heart of a community. In contrast, anabolic steroid users want to look good and improve performance. When was the last time you heard about someone knocking over a liquor store to buy steroids? Finally, DEA officials are getting the message and paying less attention to arresting steroid users. Instead, they're placing more emphasis on controlling drugs that genuinely harm society. It's about time!

I see good things in the future for us bro's. No longer will we be part of an underground society. Hehehehe. ;)

Yes we will once again be able to walk around freely. But this is my main concern. Once it does become legal, and if it does...I'm sure there will still be restrictions on stupid shit. It's too late for me to think of anything else for me to say good night Elite

AAS and their ancillaries will never be OTC in our lifetime. They will always require a prescription. Remember folks, AAS have always been legal--just not as accessible as a candy bar. Then, you need the FDA to maintain approval status or the drugs get pulled from the market.

Mike P.T. if we are an underground society i would much prefer it to be that way. Yes i hate that fact that some good bros get busted, but i see a trend from where i'm from that steroids are becoming something of a social or recreational drug. Laugh if you want..I swear juice is becomming "trendy" around here. Two years ago I could of named everyone in this area who was on. Now we have kids taking shit..just to be taking shit, cause its seen as cool among there peers. Just as you have people "experimenting" (what complete bullshit) with weed, acid, lewds ect. you now have people taking juice to be social. Legalizing it will be the worse thing that can happen IMO. I personally have no problems at the moment getting hooked up. Yes its a pain in the ass and causes a good ulcer when you worry about the source being legit, juice being legit ect. However i just don't feel that legalizing it will make things that much better, you'll have a million teenagers trying to be "trendy". That is definitely IMO not something you want teenagers to be "experimenting" with. So as mike P.T. said..we are part of an underground society...then so be it. When you go underground you gotta learn to live with the rats..and i think we are doing just fine brothers!

Do you have a time machine? :D

J.K. I'm glad if it's true and I hope we don't have to wait until December for it to be true!

It's about time! Steroids are actually in our national interests!!! Do you think that 19, 140 pound arab stickfigures would have been able to hijack those planes on September 11th if the passengers were a bunch of juiced up weight lifters?

I honestly don't know if I think they should be legalized or not, but I defenitely think that their use/sale should be decriminalized... The damn government needs to concentrate on drug dealers and THAT kind of crime... The guys who will sell crack to 14 year olds to make a few bucks.. damn.. I think that Dr.Equinstein made a very good point though, as well

YUM

I would have to agree. Although, I seriously doubt that steroids would ever be legalized. They still haven't quit busting people for marijuana.

I believe that by decriminalizing the sell of steroids is rational. I do believe that steroid sales to those under 18 should be illegal. In this legal environment, sources could apply for a license to sell and private labs could certify the quality of the gear. If any seller sells to a minor they would lose their license. It'll never happen, but its nice to think about. I'm sick of the hypocrisy.

Damn, I wish my DEA agent would have read that. Maybe, you can post the article and I will take it to my probby.

Nautica

Note it Says users not dealers.... The DEA still has a vested interest in stoping unlicened people selling controlled substances. Also while the fed's may not be going out of their way to hassle us, you still have to worry about your local yocal cops.

its just like asking a bunch of pot heads if they would like to have pot legalised, while the first thing that pops in mind is yes..but you also have to think of the negative effects this would have, younger kids getting it, inflation, quality/potency of gear would most likely go down to meet fda requirments. I don't think it should be legal but on the other hand let doctors be able to prescribe it for athletic purposes for people in the right health and willing to stay under a doctors supervison...

I wish this was the case. I suffered a herniated disc in my neck and have used weightlifting to help build up my muscles around my back and neck to attempt to get back into my sport but so far The injury is just too much and i can not make a successfull return. If i put on 20lbs of muscle I am sure I could return and compete again.. it sux.. so far I have gained about 10lbs of muscle.. that was the easy part.. the next 15-20 is going to be real hard to get naturally....

I also think that gear shouldn't be legalized for many reasons. But, it would be nice to walk into Wall Mart and see a sign that says:
ALL SCHERING PRODUCTS 1/2 OFF!
FINA- BUY ONE 50CC BOTTLE, GET ONE FREE!!
ANY AMP OF ANY TEST $1

:p

fuck legalizing it, shit then all the little kids are gonna be on and then everyone and their mother is gonna be talking like they know a damn thing about it because they are on. I like being special and it feels good to break the law:D

Agreed! Bumpity Bump Bump

I don't think they should be available over the counter but I don't think they should be schedule III drugs like heroin and cocaine.

That's the best argument for juice I have heard yet. I've fantasized many times about what I would have done if I was on one of those planes.
