takes 7 or 8 grams to start doing damage.... less if you're drinking etc. Still...I dont see what is wrong with thinning the herd a little bit by letting the junkies and idiots eliminate themselves.
if only it was them that it effected...but they effect society in numerous neg ways, such as
-theivery to support the habit
-murder (heard about medics getting jacked for their opiate goods)
-and various medical scams to get perscribed meds, which effect us all via insurance costs (heard of a douche w/no ins stabbing himself in order to get pain meds perscribed)

Lots of drugs either don't work on me or do stuff they aren't supposed to do.
Last time a doc offered me pain meds I turned him down. The entire office came to a stop and everyone was staring at me. Guess they don't get turned down very often.LOL

Exactly. My girlfriend tell's me everytime after work of all the junkies flooding intot eh ER with bu,llshit aches and pains trying to score narcotic scripts. The most popular one is pecocets, they apparently have the highest street value.She often gets calls from pharmacies to request a change in perscription due to them running out of them at such a fast pace. She will refuse to give anything but IBprofin or laratab to most, although they all claim to have an allergy to them. It is simply knowing who the responsible clientele are and who really warrants the meds. I asked her if she ever perscribed oxy's to any of her clients, she said fuck no, that is the #1 medication that should be outlawed. I get <20yr olds all the time in the ICU from oxy overdoses, shit is disgusting to see.

OMG - you can't be serious. The FDA approved this drug I don't see why they can not remove it. How do you relate this to freedom of speech?
I wonder who is paying them to push something else in it's place. I tend to doubt this is about protecting consumers as Tylenol is still on the shelves.
Did you even read the article? It's the liver damage from the tylenol they are paired with that's the issue. Lots of people don't have any awareness of how hard tylenol is on your liver. Drug companies will just find different ways to dilute the narcotics.
Even if that's the case, I say bring it on. The one time I took vicodin I got so sick I chose to take aleve instead, which barely took the edge off.

They will probably just remove the APAP fro, the shit and make it a schedule 2 drug, on par with Oxy, Adderal, etc...
He's using this as a generalized example of how the government slowly erodes your freedoms. He's not relating this with freedom of speech. He's relating it to the erosion of freedom in general and claiming another freedom further down the chain of erosion will be free speech.
Well that is fine for you, but there are people with digestive conditions that cannot take another NSAID other than acetaminophen. What will they take for a combination narcotic/NSAID pain killer?
