hmm I may be able to make something like that

I'm going to home depot today to pick up some materials

hehe i've been investing a lot of money into equipment lately

Good equipment, used properly, can last forever.

I don't totally understand the need for the first article. Why would you have to build a seperate attachment for the dumbells, why not just use the dumbells' handles? The second one made more sense because you may not have heavy enough dumbells. Is there anything wrong with just using two ezcurl bars? Is there some standard grip thickness that I might be missing here?

I used dbells for quite a while and even did the 160's for a time or two of 60ft. They put a lot of stress on the wrist and you can only go so heavy.

Then I used EZ curl bars but they put a lot of stress on the wrist also. They put more stress on the wrists than they do the rest of the body.

A good set of farmers walk lowers the center of gravity of the weight so that it becomes more of a total body stressor exercise. Every one has a different thickness, feel, balance, length, etc...so they all feel different.

Oh I see, that makes a lot of sense now. EZ curl bars seem like they would be pretty harsh on the wrists now that I think about it... I need to rig up something, farmers walks look like so much fun. :)

They really are pretty fun as long as you are not going super heavy...then they get super intense and very painful.

Look on the thread "Another Fun Sunday, 6-9-02" that I just posted...I posted a pic of mine on there.

I'll go ahead and answer without being asked...they are very, very effective! They will definitately leave you sore if you havent done them before.

For those thinking about making some farmers...or using them to increase their GPP.
