F*ck Dana White!!!

He makes this show about him and Tito Ortiz having a 3 round boxing match. The show is 1 1/2 hours long, and he knows the whole time that the fight didn't go down! An hour an a half of watching his vindictive ass train for a fight and it doesn't happen. He wasted 1 1/2 hours of tv time to announce at the last 8 minutes that the fight doesn't even happen! If he doesn't like Tito Ortiz, he shouldn't waste tv time and UFC fan time to try to make Tito look bad because he pulled out of the fight. The show could've been 15 minutes long at the most! It could've been like a "robot chicken" episode and it would have gotten the point across just as well.

Tito wasted Dana's time by pulling out of the fight

Dana wasted UFC fans time by putting on this 1 1/2 hour show about it

and, hence, I waste your time by making a thread about it

Oh, the irony of it all

I just finished watching that shit and I am pissed also. Wasted my time watching that that shit and no fight at the end. I wanted to see the fight. Sure makes Tito look like a ass but Dana looks like an ass for wasting everyone's time watching that shit.

Gentleman, I feel your pain and anger. In some ways, the UFC has gotten better. In many ways, the UFC has gotten worse. I refuse to watch any UFC shows........Kind of.

I will not tune in on the regularly scheduled time. I will DVR it (or TIVo) and fast forward through all the boring ass interviews just to watch the fights. It's bad enough having to listen to Joe Rogan commentate a fight, but it's down right painful to have to watch him try to interview the winner afterwords.

Set the DVR/TIVO/VCR and thank me later.

I dont know but I really didnt believe that they were going to fight in the first place. UFC is becoming a big marketing hype. I mean Dana White fighting Tito reminds of the WWE days when Vince Mcmahon would "fight". All marketing man...

Not sure if they said this at the end cuz I didnt watch it but heres what Tito had to say about it.

I just got off the phone with The Scott Ferrall show( Sirius radio). He said the fight with Dana was going to be for charity! That is the first time that has ever been brought to my attention that this fight was in any way shape or form going to be viewed by the public, or any proceeds made and given to a charity house. All of my fans know that I spend a huge amount of my time dedicated to charities. I help under priveleged childred, do bi-annual blood drives and many many other things that come from my heart. This wasn't about charity. This is obviously about Dana White trying to save face. He did not want this fight to be viewed by you ( the public) for fear of being punked. I came up with the idea to box Dana, and he agreed wholeheartedly. and dealpoints were discussed. We came to the conclusion that the training would be filmed and shown on Spike TV and the fight would be aired for PPV on UFC's website and punishment.com. He then , a week before... pulled the plug, without an explaination. Well, to me THAT is punking out. And now he has the balls to try to lie and say it was initially for charity? That is LOW, VERY LOW.
I have been getting paid for fighting the last 10 years. Im not going to start fighting for free now. But I will box Dana's head for free if it goes to charity. Im trying to fight for what I believe in and I get held down on a consistent basis by Dana. Jealousy? I don't know. But it isn't right. I feel sorry for all the fighters that get taken advantage of, but I will not be that guy. I have gotten quite a few very negative comments by people here on my site, and it bothers me since I really go out of my way to do the right thing, not only for me, but for my family. This is not a hobby for me, it"s my Career! PERIOD! If I don't look out for myself no one will. Love me or Hate me, I will still be fighting, kicking ass and taking names. I've been doing it for the last ten years.. and I will continue to dominate and be the best man I can be.

I knew the fight was pulled 2 weeks ago, but the story was that Tito called the day of the fight and said he wasnt showing up because he wasnt wasting his time.

Who knows...I dont beleive either story, Tito's or White's.

yeah, somethins up.......those two guys don't hate each other that much. This is some WWE bullshit.......maybe to help Tito's flailing carreer. Cause honestly, there's not a fight out there right now for him. Chuck's moved on...has rampage in front of him, than after that vanderlei.....than "maybe" crocop if he wants to challenge the higher divisions. Basically, Tito is on the sideline until Chuck loses.......he's not getting another shot at chuck anytime soon.

and guess who just bought out PRIDE....UFC

Fuck Joe Rogan, too!

Cudos to him for exposing Carlos Menstealia as the joke stealer he is, but Joe annoyed the hell out of me when he was commentating for the Matt Serra/George St. Pierre fight this last UFC. Matt started pounding George, getting him into trouble, and Rogan was trying to talk about something else regarding some other fights despite the action. Matt landed a good one to cause George to stumble, and Joe starts talking about previous fights. From the moment the final action starts to when Rogan finally acknowledges it, almost 5 seconds pass!! I swear that Joe would have continued his little story despite all the action in the octagon with all the fans going wild if the other commentator hadn't talked over what he was saying. Come to think of it, all three commentators didn't even acknowledge any of the action in the ring until the end action that ended the fight. Randy Couture seemed like the only one actually watching the fight.
If they are going to commentate during fights, they should stick to commentating on the action thats happening in the ring. It almost seemed like they werent even watching the fight, just talking about the fighters. Serra and Pierre exchanged punches that briefly put one of Serra's knees to the ground, but they didn't even acknowledge it, although the crowd did. YOu would think that they would ask themselves, "Why is the crowd all going 'Oooooh!'? What did I miss? Maybe I should concentrate on talking about whats going on in the ring!"

If they are going to have commentators, they should get some that are going to complement the action in the ring, not totally disregard it.

The next UFC is free, though, so I can't complain there!!!

its not a soap opera, do some research if your a fan and you would know that it never was going to happen thur. night, it made a lot of money and it was entertaining. you who think its like wwe, tell that to GSP, tim silva, or mike swick in his hometown loss, all were favorites and lost. people wanted to know why the fight was going to happen and why it didnt happen. they explained all that during the show. if your a fan u do more than just turn on the TV and watch!!!

Hey, fuck you and your "do more than just turn on the tv and watch" bullshit!!

First of all, only a dumbass would try to connect what people are saying in this thread to fans of WWE fake wrestling.

Second, whether or not someone is a fan (I've been watching since UFC 1 when no one else even heard of it), the way it was advertised on TV, SPIKE! TV viewers and fans were duped into believing there was going to be a fight. I don't remember anything in the advertisements where it said "Only to be viewed by hardcore fans who want to know why the fight didn't happen".

Show me where it said that and then you actually have a valid argument. If not, then you don't.

But according to you, everyone who watched it was supposed to know the story behind the story already, right? I'm a fan of "The Sopranos" too, does that mean I should try to find out what happens at the end of this final season before they air the shows? I watch "The Ultimate Fighter", too. Since I'm a fan of that, should I go and research that so I can find out who won that instead of just enjoying the weekly shows?

I guess so, according to you because, like you said, "if your a fan u do more than just turn on the TV and watch!!!"

-what a douchbag

First of all, tito isn't even a stand up fighter really. Granted he improved his stand up a ton, but he is a wrestler at heart. You can see he doesn't like taking punches too much, kinda just covers up and tries for a takedown. I thought the fight might happen, but I couldn't really see it. It wasn't good for the UFC either way. What if tito lost?? The UFC would look like a super pussy league.

It was interesting to watch at least, seeing Dana White get beat on. I like anything UFC, so it was something to watch at least.

BTW, Joe Rogan is an amazing commentator. He knows his shit pretty good and is never boring. He keeps you right in the action and explains a lot about the position people are in and nice background stories about the fighters and their camps. I didn't like the guy much before this, but watch a pride match with Frank Trigg comentating and you will apprecitate Joe more.

Joe Rogan is a terrible announcer, but you are absolutely right, when compared to Frank Trigg and the rest of PRIDE, Rogan comes off sounding like he should win a commentating award!!

I accidently tuned in for about 30 minutes & got bored watching Dana White sucking wind his first day of training.

Dana & Tito are both cry-baby fags...

Dana, a cry-baby fag with too much $$$ & no integrity...

Tito, a cry-baby fag with too much time & no future...

IMHO :smash:

its because of wank scams like that one that have people saying that MMA isnt real and is staged like WWE wrestling. That Dana is a cum stain, and is taking the hype too far. it truly has become a money making venture over it being a quality fighting event.

come on guys like u had anything else to watch. It was better then watching american idol or some stupid shit like that.

That is a valid point, but not the point of the thread. Shit like that is souring MMA, UFC.
