what happened to roman concrete.. why can't we figure out how exactly the ancients (ie: egyptian pyramids) did things so efficiently when we need our big machines, etc..?

and about the chinese.... they vastly outnumber us. i'd be interested to know what china could do if they weren't part of a communist regime.

i think we owe a great deal to the ancients in general... although i could have done without the whole gunpowder discovery.

Yes. Africa was divided up in the latter part of the 19th century and early part of the 20th. (and there is no need to mention South Africa to you is there? An unfortunate climate of apartheid prevailed there, but it was civilization set up by Europeans). Europeans brought agriculture to the region, including coffee, cotton, sorghum, etc - previously, no major subsaharan agriculture existed.

i will not deny Europe as a culture and as a people have come a long way and accomplished great things. i do not however feel they or any other culture or race as you put it is superior. we are all created equal. i will throw this at you, though Europe has commanded some of the world's greates empires they have never been able to hold them for very long. that in itself makes them equal to those they oppressed and conquered.

here's a tidbit for you, you feel Europeans are the master culture, who saved your ass in WWI, WWII from you own? the Western culture and civilizations known as America and Canada. Europes off spring you might say. I'm not saying North Americans are the superior race/culture/civilization, i'm saying we are just as able as you. given climate and other factors, i think Africa would have done a lot more, they do possess the world's largest overall population. having said that, i'm done with this thread as it is pointless and unintelligent at that. peace.

Their empire was destroyed by Europeans in the West and Muslims in the East. It was replaced by European imperialism and technological advancement after a period of "dark ages".

I believe I did. And sponge has not made any good points yet. I fully acknowledge that the Muslims did in the Eastern Roman Empire. And then the Europeans came back with the Renaissance and Industrial revolution and became the biggest powers on the earth.

But the fact is, they ARE part of a communist regime, and the fact is, even though they outnumber us and had the compass, paper, printing presses, ink, and gunpowder, all before Europeans, they still got subjugated just like the Africans did.

like I said earlier, it's all relative. in 1000 years things could be different.

also, not everybody plays a part in building ones culture, in fact, there are many who end up bringing ones own culture down. So lets not have everyone line up and take credit for accomplishments they've had no part in.

lastly, who gives a shit? just because one comes from a superior culture doesn't mean they get an award now do they? I still think they should get pins or at least a ribbon that says "#1 Culture" or "#1 Race". I find it ironic that those that racist groups like the KKK claim racial superiority, but the majority of them can't hardly speak a word of frigging english.

i believe that is in Germany, is it not? If so, it explains your views and your outspoken manner in regard to this topic. Many Germans have this type of attitude, at least the ones i have encounterd, it's an attitude often associated with concuring races. Don't get me wrong i share some very similar views. Hovewer views such as ours are very dangerous to present to the general population as you will be quick to be labeled as a racist.

It's like you said earlier, it's ok to say blacks can put on muscle very easily but not OK for anyone to state the European strengts. Incedentally Here in Europe the attitude is much different. You would be applauded for your views.
