He is obviously not going to change is narrowminded opinions that he thinks he is ohso informed about. Nothing anyone says is going to make him change his mind. Arguing with him isn't any fun, because he's such a jackass. So why bother.

I'm quite sure after I post this, I will get a reply akin to "Your ignorant reply does not really say anything at all. If that is all you can do instead of having an intelligent argument about a valid point, then your words are worthless. Europeans are the best race. Blaaah blahh blaaaah. The fact is, most of you guys haven't presented any evidence. You've said I'm wrong multiple times, but I can say the moon is made of green cheese - that doesn't make it correct.

1. did the byzantine and moslem empires coexist in the east?
2. did they exist in seperate regions of the east?
3. did the seljuk turks overthrow byzantine or just defeat them in one battle?
4. didnt the ottoman empire overthrow the byzantine empire?

The fact that you "predicted" my reply means nothing, as my reply was the only possible logical one under the circumstances. If you said "Zirak! What is 2+2? Watch this guys, he'll say 4!!" and I then said 4, would that be worthy of comment?

Seriously, ladymac, merely saying I am narrowminded will not make my points and evidence go away. You must present and defend counterarguments. Surely you understand this? On the flip side, do you go changing your mind about issues merely because someone calls you narrowminded - and refuses to argue?

1) No, the Byzantine empire was destroyed by the Muslims, who then eventually formed the Ottoman empire in 1453.

2) The same region.

3) They defeated them in several battles.

4) No, the Turks overthrew the Byzantine empire and eventually formed the Ottoman empire - the Ottoman and Byzantine empires never coexisted.

Your grasp of history is appalling.

In any case, this does not prove that the Europeans were inferior, merely that they suffered a setback, same as they did in Moorish Spain. The Europeans consistently fended off the Ottoman Empire, defeated it in WWI, and made subjugated states out of its land.

Funny, but it contributes nothing to this discussion. Bear with me. Consider this logic.

1) You obviously care about this topic, because you posted both last night and tonight, and you continue to post.
2) You have done nothing to try to convince me that your position is correct, only mocked me.
3) I can assume that since you care (see point 1), if you were able to give evidence in support of your position, you would. But you have not (see point 2)
4) Therefore, you aren't able to give evidence in support of your position.
5) From (4), it can be seen that either the evidence does not exist, or you are too stupid to find it.

I have to say that there is much truth to the arguments presented in Zirakzigil's posts. People like Polapixie will debate and try to deny and ask stupid questions going in circles for the simple reason that they like to disagree, even when the truth stares them in the face. Some people have a really hard time accepting that they are not part of an elite culture and therefore feel inferior.

Argue European superiority all you want, it will not change a thing. There is no denying the technological, educational, scientific and military advancements they made and are making. Europe has one of the most progressive societies you will ever find in any corner of the globe. Visit Holland among others, and you will see.

I guess i do not even have to bring up the fact the Europe invented just about all the steroids the memebers of this bord are so fond of, but that is another post all together.
