Can you wear a black suit jacket with a pair of khakis? I'm going to a dinner for an honor society at my college and wondering if thats alright since I dont have a sports coat and don't feel like buying one.

The ONLY place i would even think of wearing a combo like that would be to a college ceremony. You may get away with it.

I think you can pull this look off, but you're gonna need a pretty sweet bright yellow bowtie to avoid look stupid. Also, a few lillies sticking out of your sport coat pocket wouldn't hurt.
