I am a full time student living in a travel trailer and a man who lives behind the trailer park in a house decided to get drunk and harass my next door neighbor. First he harassed him about his new deck he built then went back to his house behind us and got a shotgun. He then proceeded towards our trailer area and tried to call my neighbors dog to him while hiding the gun behind his back. At this point my neighbor is on the phone with the cops and landlord. At this point I just arrived in my car to my trailer and dont notice the asshole behind our trailers because its wooded area. I go next door to check out my neighbors deck and say hi and he tells me what is going on with the drunk guy and his shotgun and about a minute into our conversation there is a KABOOM from where he was (about 25 yards) and I went to my place to get my .45 and by the time I was out to see where he was he went back to his house and almost to his garage so I didnt return fire. We didnt see him after that, he must have saw me come out with my gun or realized what he did or something. Either way Im damn glad I didnt have to test my new ammo on a live person, if you know what Im saying. This little incident will speed the decision I am making to get a CCW permit. Shudder to think what could have happened if I didnt have a gun of my own to defend myself and my neighbor because the cops took a full 5 minutes to get there from the time he let the lead fly.
