They already were. Well... the one gay I know in the army had a desk job. He is very gay and frail and I still don't know how the hell he passed the physical tests. Annoying a whiny type gay.

Maybe they should different physical tests for gays like they do for women.

That's entirely possible.
To me, the reverse situation would be more funny.
It's fair to say that a reasonable percentage of gay men are flamboyant about it.
It's also fair to say that some manifestation of that flamboyance involves sexually-related comments.
I'd love to see the straight guys file sexual harassment / hostile working environment complaints against the guys who come-out too boldly. I can't go to work telling people that I like teh vag -- why should they expect to show-up saying the opposite?
Hopefully it all just gets handled "internally" with the public none the wiser. just like most of the problems in the military at the unit level.

Today was a HORRIBLE day for women in boot camps who just lost a very popular way of getting discharged. Now they'll have to fake mental illnesses and shit to get out of boot camp or deployment to iraq.
