does nolva inhibit gains?

does nolvadex inhibit gains? im on 500 mg test enanthate/week with 30 mg dbol/day and my nipples are getting very sensitive. no lumps or itchiness yet but i can like feel my shirt rub against them so im pretty sure im gona have to start soon. i was wondering if the nolva's going to inhibit any of my gains? also should i go ahead and just start the nolva now? better safe than sorry i suppose but maybe im just freakin out over common shit.

I'd worry less about potential gains losses and more about your current situation.

And I wouldn't wait until it hits you to start Nolva.

That being said, I wouldn't expect you to start losing slabs of muscle. Estrogen, is excess, binds up free testosterone, so, there's always a balance point. and you're well past it, it seems.

over 20mg a day starts to, just depends how bad your gyno is. 20mg is a day is fine and i always use it to get the water out

I didn't take Nolva my first week of dbol only and felt very bloated. Started taking it and it went away almost the next day. Feel great and still gaining good.

1. Excess estrogen (E2) doesn't bind up androgens.
2. Nolvadex does not inhibit your gains. The reason people have been saying it does, appears to be because acting as a selective estrogen receptor modulator (SERM), it has antiestrogenic effects on fat deposition and water retention. You take nolvadex (tamoxifen) and you will retain less water, gain weight more slowly, and suddenly people think the sky is falling. There is no evidence, and I challenge anyone on here to prove otherwise, that physiologic doses of tamoxifen used by bb "reduce gains" outside their own anecdocal experience.

You appear to be on the verge of getting gyno, not using tamoxifen is not an option, you need to either use that or 500-100 mg qd clomifene citrate. Maybe an aromatase inhibitor would be beneficial to you in the future, however, becareful, the literature shows that they can have an unanticipated and nasty effect on your serum lipids, especially anastrazole.

Sorry, I meant to say that excess estrogen leads to increased SBHG, thus binding more free test. Apparently, I left out the intermediate connection in my post.

I don't know of any link between excess E2 and SHBG, although it could well be there, but I DO KNOW that supraphysiologic androgen levels decrease synthesis, serum stability, or something about SHBG (aka, TBG) so the level is actually suppressed to < 50% of normal. This is helpful, and stays suppressed for several weeks after discontinuing a cycle, as the same amount of androgens in your body will have more free T, and hence, faster apparent recovery.

I would imagine that this effect manifests after several weeks on sauce. I wouldn't be terribly concerned about aromatization of enanthate raising TBG levels when you are already in a hyperandrogenized state.

True. It will inhibit gains, but nothing drastic at all, at least from my experience.

In my opinon start the Nolva now 40mg daily until your nips are no longer sensitive, then consider running 20mg for the remainder of your cycle. It's debatable as to whether Nolva reduces gains, some studies indicate that it may reduce IGF-1 but there's no clear evidence pertaining to AAS users, ie.

The belief that Nolva reduces gains seems to stem from the fact that some scientific literature reports a slight reduction in IGF-1 (individuals using anabolic steroids were not studied though) from use of Nolvadex. Thus, Dan Duchaine reported that it reduces IGF-1 and therefore reduces gains. However, if this effect exists at all, it is likely to be minor.

Additionally elevated estradiol does stimulate SHBG production, increasing levels in the blood, which blocks testosterone-receptor sites.

Im currently taking, well, I dont even want to say how much nolva per day Im taking...but it's ALOT. Im on cycle and growing like a weed, so I wouldnt worry about it....

personally i'd sacrifice a couple lbs of muscle instead of having my own pair of breasts. Better to be safe than sorry IMO

I highly doubt that it inhibits gains. The only thing that has substantally afffected my gains on a cycle is NOT ENOUGH FOOD!
