Awhile back a lady was removed from her home , they cops and animal control raided her house and found over 80 cats living inside.
The lady was missing teeth and had nasty clothes on ,she was crying as the police removed her from the house she yelled " I need my babies my babies , who will feed the babies"
The cops found her entire house was transformed into a giant cat house.
the back porch had over 50 large mailboxes for the cats to sleep in and each had names of the cat on them. They didnt really find any sighns of abuse
but they took the cats reguardless

I hear about this kinda shit all the time.
Anyone else have crazy cat ladies in their area?

they even sell crazy cat lady action figures online

we have a barn cat that came with the house. She's the sweetest thing ever, but i was feeling really bad over the winter . I called a bunch of shelters to see if they would take her and if they were "no kill". the only place I found was one shelter told me about a woman in this county who will take in any cat... she has over 100 though and although she takes decent care of them, many of them live in her barn and house.

i couldn't do it. we still have the cat. (she comes in our garage, but it's not heated. I put out a heated cat bed and food and water and do whatever I can to keep her warm and healthy).

If I wasn't allergic I'd prolly be the crazy cat dude.
I bring food, water, and turkey franks for the stray cats at work. I've named several of the regulars.
Very sad to see homeless animals. I figure if I can bring a little comfort to their lives then that's what I ought to do. Costs me less than $15 a month to help out 5 to 15 strays. I only work 4 days a week, so some other co workers will pick up some of the slack on my days off.
Truthfully the kitty's bring me great joy. They recognize my work van and chase after me at the end of my shift.
BTW: Costco sells a 25 lb bag of dry cat food for $15 - for those interested.

I like other peoples cats. But I don't think I'd own one. My mom has out door cats that can come and go through a cat door. So there is no litter box. I hate nasty ass litter boxes. But I have lots of cool birds that come into my yard and I don't want cats to kill em. I shoot the neighbor cats with flat head pellets when they come into my yard. It don't kill them or hurt them bad. But I know it stings cause they never come back.

There's no shortage of birds, and cats will only weed out the weak ones anyway. Predation is good for the birds' gene pool.
