There had been some hope with 13ciss retinoic acid but that's seems to be failing in human trials tho excellant for rats. Please, this is a serious disease affecting tens or hundreds of millions. Red blood cell builders might help some but there could be other, better approaches. Serious shortness of breath is realy horrible. Thanks for your considerations.

if not allready done i would get a consult for a visit to a pulmonary doc,,,if you are not already on some sort of corticosteroid inhalation/beta 2/anticholinergic like advair,spiriva, maybe albuterol and atrovent nebulizer when needed. Are you/were you a smoker, do you use oxygen,has you condition worsened over the past few years, how many years have you been short of breath, how often do you get a respiritory tract infection, have you ever had a bronchoscopy?
