Around the facial region? After I scrub the shit out of it in the mornings or after a shower / shave, it feels so fuckn dry. Like it will tear if I rip at it- not a drop of moisture. ANyone know what the dealio is with this? I've had this occur for about 5 months now. Moisturizer helps though.

i do bro. my back i cant sleep sometimes at night cause my skin is dry and i get itchy

And what, leave oil on it for acne out breaks? Bah. Even the slightest amount of soap causes this. Sometimes my nose can even fuckn flake. its terrible!

it sucks man

don't use soap number 1.

Use Spectrogel to wash your face.

I also invested in a good moisturizer and i found my face stopped getting so dry.

Many people do not realize that your skin is trying to maintain a balanced environment. Smurfy's right, you scrubbing the shit out of your face and drying it out will possibly make it break out and dry out more. Why don't you try something a bit more gentle....

There is a cleanser out there called Cetaphil, they also make a lotion. At night try something like Clean & Clear facial soap, then a bit of Cetaphil lotion only if you didn't wash your face already in the shower. In the morning when you really don't have a lot of oil or dirt as you were sleeping; use the Cetaphil cleanser then the lotion on the dry areas only. I use the baby wash with a pump in the shower sometimes on my face.

I used to try to scrub away everything too and the more I would, the worse it got. Ever since I quit and did what I mentioned above, my face has had no problems. Good luck.

I have to put lotion on my face (around sinuses, cheeks) in the winter because it'll flake and dry up, usually after showers and in cold weather (winter). I've tried not using any lotion at all, thinking my body would compensate for the lack of moisture, but I think it's more of a seasonal thing. The cold sucks the moisture/oils out of the body and dries it out.

Soap even dove is horrible to use on your face.. ppl don't know this

bro go get a non-soap cleanser like the girls said. if you get desperate, your pharmacy has some for sure. like quadsis said, your skin is a balanced environment in terms of moisture, pH, debris levels etc etc - if you use soap and get your skin out of kilter, youre far more prone to breakouts and generally shitty looking skin. in brief, for nice skin, you need to exfoliate regularly, wash regularly with a soapless cleanser, apply small amounts of moisturiser regularly, and keep your skin as clean as possible - meaning you need to wash your pillowcovers more, not touch your face, not pick your face, and not use nasty pore clogging hair products/makeup

thatll be five bucks thanks :)

I have oily skin on my face, no acne, just oily. have to keep using wet facial tissues to dry it out. I look 10 years younger for it though... awesome
