does anybody else on this board play high school or college football?

nebraska werkout is a full lifting and speed plyometric and agility program..includes in season werkouts.. if u want i could email u some sample werkouts..

correct.u dont play football on a bench.
i can barley bench the bar..but i clean and squat houses..
i completly agree with u

One of the key factors of being a good player is POWER. You don't want to optimize hypertrophy, you want to optimize strength. Just because someone can bench or squat more than you doesnt mean they are more powerful than you. This means the focus of your training should be in the 3-6 range. These should become your favorite exercises: bench, military, rows, pullups, chins, squats, deadlifts, clean and jerk, snatch. In my opinion, isolation training such as biceps is a total waste. Sports isn't about looking good, it's about playing good.

I play university football in Canada in the CIAU...

Play OG...am 6'2 243 right now...

Used to be 256 in pre season but i recently had surgery..

Hypertrophy i think is somewhat important because if u want to be big than you need size and size equals weight. At least that's the way i look at it.
