Do you usually feel older or younger than you are?

That's what I figured people with self-confidence would say.

I knew this thread would be popular - everyone gets to talk about themselves.
I don't think it is a bad thing. It is honest. I had to grow up quickly because I didn't have much of a support system.

Now that I'm in my thirties, though, I wonder where the time went. I still feel like a young pup...lol.

Everyone is mature and vibrant and fun and happy and awesome and have huge cocks and deep bank accounts and perky breasts.

I actually really don't like the feeling. I've hated every birthday after 21. There's really nothing particularly "happy" about it....but it's something I'm working on.

I've never minded birthdays. I just force everyone to tell me that I look too young to be "insert age here." LOL. That always makes me feel good.

I never said it was a bad thing to have self-confidence. All I was saying is that how people answer the question might tell you something about their personality. And then I thought about what I know about each of the people who responded and was like, you know what? The answers to this question will probably make a lot of sense on a person-by-person basis.

I am the only one who said that they felt and acted their age

what do you deduce from that? LOL!!

I think thats pretty normal to feel and act your age. I enjoy being young-ish. Just enough responsibility to have fun, but not so much that life sucks.

Well, I guess it's partly because I sort of missed out on having a normal childhood/youth and each year that passes is a year that pulls me further away from that experience I never had. I'll probably stop feeling that way once I reach a place of satisfaction in my present life.

I missed a normal childhood too.

I remind myself now that I am FREE. The good thing is that now you can do whatever you want. When you were a child you were stuck.

When I was in my early twenties, I used to say "when I finish undergrad, i'll be happy."

I finished but then I said, "when I finish law school, I will be happy."

Then I said, "when I get married, I will be happy."

Then I said, "when I make a certain income i will be happy."

and so on and so on and so on.

If you live life always putting your happiness on hold for some achievement or some event, you will NEVER BE HAPPY.

You have to just learn to be happy in the moment, where you are now and who you are now.

This thread is getting a bit too personal for my liking, and I think someone
needs to look into this Nathan character.. I bet he has Nefarious motives

lol... i was just having this discussion today. my friend asked why i turned out so normal (ha!) after having such a totally odd childhood. I do feel a total sense of satisfaction with my life now, but having an odd growing experience never stopped me from thinking of the good things that came from it, and being happy that i'm different.
