I don't think it has anything to do with hate.
Women who kill their kids don't hate their kids, they are not well and have become overwhelmed with life.
I'm not making excuses, but until we walk in someone else's shoes, it tough to judge.
Ummmmm you don't see me starting threads or stirring shit. Someone reds me because his ass got e-owned then they had better be prepared to accept similar measures. right?
it's how I explain it so he understands that I can't drink, he sees my friends drink at the pool, partys, etc, but I don't. It's better than saying to a 10 year old, "I'm a recovering alcoholic/ addict, and alcohol fucked up a lotta shit for me." When he's older, I'll give him a better explanation. For now, he knows that some peole are "allergic" to things and that they make them sick...
I'm open for other/ better angles, you gotta kid too, what's your take on it...
I always like to tell the truth if I can. Not to tell every detail, but to tell enough of it while being truthful. Everyone has their own way, and it;s cool that you're doing it the way you are. You know you'll have "the talk" at a later time.
I personally would just say "Daddy and alcahol don't mix well. I've tried it before, and I definately know that I don't like it. I've told myself that I would never have it again. So far I've been true to myself. High five kid! lol
Stuff like that. It's still the truth. I'd hate to one day tell my kid "Well, I've lied about that... now here's the real story."
Yes, she does believe in Santa clause. Damn you people!
Actually my nephew dresses as Santa every Christmas. After one Christmas with him, my daughter was talking about it. We asked her how her visit with Santa was, since she had a conversation with him? She said You mean Uncle Steven in the costume? wtf? Can't fool the 3 year olds.
