Do you have problems taking orders?

EH, most people have the type of job where they are given daily, weekly, monthly or quarterly tasks or goals.

If you work for someone else your boss or manager will in one way or another tell you what to do or give orders.

The easier the job (less thinking) the easier it is to just do what you are told.

The problems start when you are more versed and successful in your field than your boss/manager and you stop being able to hold your tongue.

:whatever:

I think we (myself included) often make things more complicated then necessary.

That's where I'm at and pretty much always will be unless I have my own bidness. I just clench my teeth and let them talk out of their asses. My pet peeve is when someone doesn't know how to manage and they brow beat people and talk themselves up.

I hear you.

It's sad though that very often the most brillant of people that do the best work (when allowed to) and have the best ideas will remain silent because of the differents egos, bullshiters and backstabbers.

I agree to a point, I mean alot of creative people suffer from cognitive dissonance, as in the comic strip you posted that was brilliant, and transmitting their idea into the organization, or spreading it into a subculture is not so easy... I mean You have to know the right type of people. People who are persuasive, or have ties into many subcultures. You have to have the right timing, context -maybe u are ahead of your time-. This is not an easy thing to do. Moreover, it is possible that the creative person is kinda introspective and isn't able to persuade people, again this is a stereotype that may have no bearing...
Even at the univeersity or academic level, the papers that are published are not the most creative, but the most practical because they Universities and Research needs money...
In any kind of system where profit is the driving force, practical and what is most lucrative will always have more significance than 'creativity'.

yes

For some reason, I disliked anyone in authority.

i dont have anyone in authority over me. i cant have a boss.
