Do you have a fast car?

shoulda went with some STS remote mounted turbo system instead of a roots style supercharger.

Nothing like a blown stang!!

I have the kenne bell on my 07 GT.

Sounds just about like that. It's a sick ride!

The STS turbo company is about 30 minutes from my house. I went there and checked out some of their cars, and a guy with an 06 Z51 vette gave me a spin in his. He told me he was running 8 lbs of boost, and he said he was at about 570 horse. That sucker was a total rocket!

those cobras came stock with the roots blower. even at that upgrading the roots blower to say a kenne bell blower would be MUCH better than any STS turbo. STS turbos are ok systems but they are not good for making big power, it is impossible to delete lag assocaited with the rear mounted turbo setup.

not to mention how hot those fuckers get...

My fast car has 2 wheels and only 172hp. Wanna race? :P

I have beaten many many bullet bikes in the stang. It runs 11's in the 1/4 mile. The majority of bullet bikes run in the low-md 12's. There are a few that run 10's though, and those totally rape me, hahaha.

Wow 11's in the 1/4 mile? That is friggen fast!

4.10 gear, supercharged at 10psi, full header back exhaust. On a modest tune. I could tune it much more aggresively with 100 octane and get 520 hp out of it, but I don't want to have to replace parts all the time. At the track I use slicks and my 60ft time is usually 1.6-1.7. It traps 120.

On the street i have the stock tires which are absolutely horrible. I have to drive it gingerly unless i want to make a huge cloud of smoke.

Actually you can make good power with a STS setup, thou I don't prefer their design. Saw one go mid 8's in the quater at the Orlando Street Nationals.

What size slick and suspension setup? I'm assuming 5speed, what rpm you leaving at?

That 60 ft can be improved on good bro.

Yeah, when you hit the 500hp mark and over, parts start wearing out faster. Before I installed valve cover oil spring oilers I was replacing valve springs about every 5 months.

1.6-1.7 is pretty fuckin good for a 120mph trap.

also about the STS, yes u can make good power but i guarantee what that guy did to go 8s what a TON more than it would take with a more "efficeint" system.

Turbo lag isnt even that big of an issue. Gasses travel so fast within that system - and plus you're powering a V8 which isn't a bitch like a turboed 4 cylinder.
There's some interesting designs out there that store gasses so they can dump right when you hit the accelerator - that would be cool.

Torque profiles of turboes tend to look a little better than superchargers too.

Yeah, 5 speed manual.

Stock rear springs, but with upgraded LCA, UCA and panhard rod. to keep the rubber planted better. Wheelhop is a bitch in these with the stock LCA and UCA.

I leave at 4.5K. Problem is, my track does not prep on street car night. So I could get 1.5's with a prepped track.

Also, my rev limiter is set to 6100 where I could easily go to 6500 and be safe. I could trap 2-3 mph faster with it that way, and get another .1-.2 secs out of it. In fact, I should do that because I end up having to shift into 5th with the 4.10 gears at 120. Or just put in some 3.73's. It will make street driving a little nicer.

It is still a daily driver, so it's not a full blown drag set up. Full leather interior, spare tire and jack. everything.

If I wanted to go any faster, I'd have to put in a cage, and other shit to run it to meet the NHRA spec for 10 sec cars. Dates don't like a cage in their cars. It makes them nervous. Though, usually I take the M5 out on dates. Much classier. Depends on the chick. Either one has serious balls, and chicks get totally turned on by fast cars.

Lol, one night i ran it on the stock tires. I didn't get good traction til 4th. I trapped 115 but ran like 13.9 (which is slower than a stock GT). Everyone was like WTF? hahahaha. Hell I ran it at 13.0 before I put on the blower. It was with full exhaust, intake tune and 4.10 gears about 340hp.

Ok :)

Last time I went to the track, some guy in a twin turbo porsche AWD was in the lane next to me. Asked what size my bike was, I told him 1000. He said "cool, I take them all the time". Apparently he was unaware of the lil blue bottle I have. I consistently run low 10's break into the high 9's if I can get a good launch. All on street set up.

supercharger = instant torque

turbo = high in rpm torque but possibly more space under line

that car in the video has a stock supercharger, it's not aftermarket addition why would he change it out to a turbo unless he is just looking for stupid hp, even then the upgraded kenne bell supercharger makes sick hp.

--Definitely bro, Ford puts too soft of bushings in the stock control arms to help with movement during body roll. Not good for any type of racing.

--If the car is still making power and holding on at 6500 or more than I would up the limiter and see how the car responds. lol I'm a rpm junky I love spinning a motor upstairs.

--You need to come down here to the south, most tracks on test-n-tune days just want you to wear a helmet lol. I've clicked off a 6.4X with no cage haha, not the safest thing to do I know. We mostly run 1/8 mile here, not too many 1/4 mile tracks.

Word.

Properly sized turbo + V8 = torque @ low 2000-3000 rpm. Excellent for an auto with a tight converter. Plus you'll have an awesome torque curve.

O know it makes power at 6500. I just don't want to be running that at the track. I don't want to risk anything. On the dyno, they put the rev limiter to 6700, and power peaked at 6400 or so.

The 4.6l 3 valve has a lot of potential. Guys are putting down 370-380 at the wheels with cams, intake, full exhuast and tune. Ford total pussies out on their motors stock.

I hope they go with the 5.0l 3v they have been planning on. Slightly more aggresive cams, 6500RPM limiter. They could easily move HP to 360hp for the next generation, which debuts this month at the auto show! I hope they do too.

I think weight with me in the car is like 3750 or something. That blower adds lots of weight.

I was talking 475RWHP too, not at the crank. That makes a huge difference.

Ah I haven't heard about that, sounds interesting. I'm more of a chevy guy, but still like to keep up-to-date on the others. Guess I need to do some reading.
They need to quit making these new cars such freaking pigs. I understand they have to comply with all the new safety features and such, but they don't have to be the weight of a tank lol.

no kidding. if they got the mustng to 3200 pounds, which they should be able to do with some good engineering, and more hp than the current model, it will really be a big leap forward in performance for the $$$.

My car is fast enough for me...lol.

My best man has a 4 cyl with 600 hp. Insane to ride in.
