Do you hate talking on the phone?

I can only take so much of it.

i don't mind quick 2 mins conversations. but i hate drawn-out babblers. It's taking time away from whatever i'm doing.

When i'm out and about, babble away. I'm drinking beer -- so entertain me with your drama. Make me feel better.

Me and my brolies use the phone to set up a meeting time and place to talk/hang out. Never been much of a phone talker. Although when it comes to writing, like email or something, I tend to be long-winded.

I loathe the telephone.

I won't answer mine. I let the machine pick it up, and then if someone starts leaving a message and it's someone I want to talk to, I'll intercept the call.

depends on how im feeling,

sometimes i can talk for hours and be completely content becase im talking to someone i don't see nearly enough.

And then there are times that its like poking me in the eye with a knife.

i love the phone and talk on it all the time :) id talk for easily an hour a day at least, particularly when im driving, swimming in the pool, or cleaning the house

i have too many friends to only be with in person, and many of them live in different states. currently one of my best friends is someone i have clocked up maybe 6 hours of being with in person, compared to 600 (or whatever) on the phone

I'm using around 2000 cell minute a month right now. At least half of it is with my sister. My favorite person to talk to though isn't really a phone person but cares about me enough to tolerate my chatter.

I talk to five people on the phone, no more, I won't allow it
Work, whoever i'm seeing at the time, sister in cali, two best friends. no more

IMO, talk is cheap. it cheapens everything, especially when you talk about yourself.
we think alot alike bro.

my policy is, if your comfortable enough with someone to where you can just sit in a room with them and not say anything for an hour, and not have it feel weird, then that is a true friend

talk if you need to, shut up for the rest

Any phone call I make or take has a purpose. I cant remember the last time i just called someone out of the blue for the fuck of it or to "shoot the shit". I cant tolerate it. Part of it is me being lazy and the other part is me being too much in my own world to want other people in it.

I hate talking to people that just babble on an on about every single thing that happened to them that day.

That's why on my plan I have a measley 450 min and 1000 text messages and a text messaging phone...short and sweet.

you guys obviously have never experienced the joy that comes from romancing a hot, hot HOT girl over the phone while wearing dirty brown undies and scratching your armpit with a fork

but then, niether have i, so its alright ;)

(no wonder you all need therapists...get some friends, mangs!!)

Talking on the phone is a bit like preliminaries....

Pretty much useless and boring
The quicker the better

;) j/k

I never thought of it like that, but it's pretty damn true.

Great question bro,

I loaded your thread with a little of my own Karma to help you get a better answer faster! You can release it later to the member who's answer you liked best.

This feature called "Karma Awarded Threads" alows you to give members an incentive to help you out!

Platinum Members, when you create a new thread, select the "Additional Option" Award Karma to This Post. You can then upload Karma to your question and when you get an answer that you like, you can award it to the person who provided you with that answer.

Let's say that there's an older thread that you created that you did not get many responses on. Open that thread, and click the link "Thread Tools" and you can retroactively create a Karma Awarded Thread. Click the Thread Tools menu and select the option under the "Platinum Copy" feature.

Enjoy! And good luck to the winner!

Get an answering machine, and then never answer the phone unless it's someone you want to talk to.
