Do you go w/ your instincts or are you logical when making a decision?

I recently made a decision that I feel is for the best. Nothing major. I'm not ready to deal with the potential "what ifs" and if I'm wrong, well then so be it. My gut told me something wasn't right and I went with that feeling.

What do you do? Do you go with your instincts or do you analyze the situation and then decide? Any regrets?

I'm very logical, rational, and pragmatic. Those things are all way combine to give me my "gut" instincts.

People like to say "gut feeling" when they don't have any logical reason for feeling a certain way. To me, I never feel something with absolutely NO logical basis.

That's a tough one. I'm very analytical to an extreme. Why? How? When? Potential outcome? What if's? All that stuff. HOWEVER, with matters of the heart...I tend to follow just that...my heart.

I never ignore the "gut" feelings. I like to think them as God or some higher being trying to clue me in on what my "logical/analytical" ways might not be seeing. But that's just me. ;)

Agreed, its important when you use a "gut feeling" to have a balance between logic, reason, and those senses that can't be described (feelings), but simply felt by an extra perception.

Iim reading a book right now about making decisions. The "what ifs" are called opportunity costs. If you make a decision, dont spend time thinking about what could have been. If you so,. you will be less happy with your decision.

im more a gut type guy

my current situation of buying a new car is perfect for this,Im terrified something will happen and it will be repo'd,and that was making me think hard and almost not get it,but my gut said, take the chance and get the reward of freedom, so thats what im doing, and after working out all the small details after things are gonna be just fine

what's the name of the book

My instincts are typically quite logical. I never think about things, however that thought process is involved somewhere along the lines, just not consciously.
