Do you ever rescue friends from horrible dates?

My friends always know that if their dates go South, they can count on me to save the day. I just got in from picking up a friend who decided the guy was a loser while they were still at dinner. Good for her, except for one thing: he drove. SO, what does she do? She tells him their date is over, pays for her half of the tab and then hangs out at the bar across the street until I get there. I'm glad she made up her mind not to waste anymore of her time, or his, but she could have called a cab. I guess venting to a cab driver wouldn't have helped her feel better, though. *sigh* The things we do for our friends.

She really gave that poor fuck the cold shoulder, not even finishing the date......he must have been pretty bad. You women and your strange wayz...she should have at least humored him and let him drive her home instead of getting the fuck out of there at the first sign of trouble.
