Do I have to go to a psychiatrists for ADD??

I have had ADD type symptons for aslong as I can remember...i never paid attention in school, was always distracted..was a straight A student in math, didnt give a crap about any other class...I want to try adderall now that im stuyding for some certifications to better my career.I have a hard time sitting down and reading without stopping 5 minutes later and watching tv or soem other nonsense...do I have to go through the whole psychiatrists thing, its a major pain with my insurance..its a big process I have to go through.

nah, go to your General Practitioner. Study up on the DSM-IV critera for ADHD or adult onset ADD/ADHD.

math i just understood, i liked algebra,calculus because I didnt have to study or read books, I could learn it one time and understand it forever. I'm studying for some microsoft exams to become a MCSE ( i have only 3 tests left for that out of 7) and then im going for my Cisco certifications which require much more studying. All Information Technology related certs.

yup, I could pretty much pass the CCNA right now...I do alot of work with Cisco switches and routers and finally got the hang of subnetting....the CCNP exams on the other hand...I need to study my ass off for those.
