Reoccuring nightmares? And if so what are they about and what do you THINK they mean in real life?

1. Planes crashing down around me. Im not IN the plane, I'm on the ground and suddenly out of nowhere there is a plane (huger than even normal size) that is crashing down out of the sky right near where I am but somehow it doesnt crash into me, or injure me - it's the sheer terror of witnessing something so horrifying i guess. Ive been having these dreams LONG before 9/11 even happened. So as you can imagine, right after 9/11 when all they kept showing was the planes crashing into the buildilngs - i couldnt watch - it made me very anxious.
2. Snakes - Thousands of snakes will be literally covering the entire floor or ground in my dream out of nowhere and I cant step down without stepping onto a very large snake (again, larger than normal size). I have been terrified of snakes since I was a small child.

I have this reoccuring anti gravity like dream where I jump but start floating. But I barely control where I land but it's hard to land cause I bounce up. Sometimes I'm floating by power lines and stuff but never hit them.
Ive also in the past had those dreams where suddenly you're spitting out an entire mouthful of teeth...like 100 teeth are falling out at one time - very weird but not so much a nightmare so to speak, just strange feeling. Ive been told that relates to feeling like you're losing control in your life. Luckily, havent had one of those dreams in quite a while.

I was watching the news one day and I remember they had this psychologist on who said that losing teeth is one of the most common reoccuring nightmares.Smurfy said:
I just had one last night which was why I am asking.. the weird thing was I woke up in the middle of the night and had it, but then fell back asleep and it continued. It was really freaky.. I was very happy to wake up this morning and realize it was all a dream. LOL.
To piggy back onto the planes crashing theme of my recurring nightmares, I also have them where I am driving down a highway and I come across a car crash site wherein numerous cars have crashed very violently and there is wreckage and dead bodies all around - very terrifying to me, but somehow Im never the one in the crash.
I did know a lot of people in my youth who died in car crashes - like friends and acquaintances - at least 8-10 people.

Oh my, I sure so...When I was little my mom and I lived down on the beach.Back then they used to have a little ride park in the center of the beach.Well it had one of those pirate ships there, which I have never been on before..
Any ways I keep having the same dream randomly of me being about 6 or 7 years old. I am on the pirate ship going for a ride, looking down at myself standing there watching myself with this face...I mean the face alone is kinda scary..It is a mean serious face...Not quite sure what it means..Asked a few people who say it may be my innerself was mad at me for being a pussy and not going on the ride..Or maybe like I am trying to tell myself that i need to be more serious about life...I have heard many examples of what it may be for....All I do in fact know is that 18 or 19 years with the same dream is a bit annoying.It is not every night but atleast a few times every month.

When I was a kid I used to have dreams that I was sitting alone in a parked car and then it started moving and I couldnt get it to stop.
That was such a control thing.
Once I learned how to drive those dreams stopped.
Now I have lots of teeth falling out dreams.
Lots of dreams where I'm on stage wearing the wrong costume and dont know the dance.
And I still have those dreams where it is the day of the final and I have never been to the class and know nothing about the subject and I cant get to the room where I'm supposed to take the test. I hate those.

I have a recurring dream that I am driving a car or someone else is driving and it won't stop and goes off a boat ramp and into water. The car is slowly sinking, and I can't get out.
I thought that it always meant that I am afraid of things getting out of control and leading to disaster.
Recently, though, my dad told me that he and my mother had an accident when I was a baby in which he drove the vehicle into a deep creek and it sank. He cannot recall if I was in the car with them or not. I don't remember either.

that's really weird. i make remarks like that a lot. i'll smell something real intense. something like oranges or strawberrys & i'll ask if anyone else is smelling it, if not i tell them that i'm prolly gonna have a seizure. and, on top of that. i will smell gun smoke, just out of the blue....javaguru said:

i get this shit called sleep paralysis, where you're completely awake but cannot move, talk, open your eyes. but i'm not sure what a seizure of that type would entail. i had an ex that would thrash around like the Exorcist. i used to tell her to have one in the tub or pool, then i'd throw in some laundry & we'd save a few bucks...heatherrae said:Smelling oranges is common before a seizure.
