different types of vitamin e

I was in the store and there was a liquid in a softgel and a dry powdered vitamin e water soluble one. what's the difference between these 2?

Side effects from vitamin E?!
I've never heard of such thing:rolleyes:
I remember...there are 2 different kinds of vitamin E, D-alpha and DL-alpha. D-alpha is better because it's from a natural source or something like that.

Stomach problems? Do you take these with food? Usually all stomach problems with vitamins may occur if you take those on an empty stomach...I don't know about dry one.

As justice said don't take either the L or DL form

only the D form (spatial configuration) is really bio-available

as for potential side effects

the only one i really know of (Read in a newspaper) is that its fialry hard to excrete vitamin E (it being fat soluble and all) so if you take crazy levels of it, it might build up to toxic levels in the liver

anyone else heard anyuthing about this?

those were just 2 ways of taking the vitamin e like someone said, i would go with the softgel. I have NEVER heard of anybody going over on vit. e to where it became toxic, so unless you had a goal to take in as much as possible, youll be alright.
