Diet soda

Ok, so we all know water is a better choice. But, is there anything wrong with drinking diet soda. I'm not on a keto diet or anything, and I have not noticed anything bad (that I can tell;-). So, I'm just curious as to why we should cut out diet drinks if we're getting plenty of water. Is there any real proof they're bad?

:fro:

ONCE AGAIN diet drinks while dieting are fine, moreover there is evidence that sugests that taking low calorie sweetner contained in nurtra sweet products will supress your appetite. The only problem with diet drinks is the caffene content which can potentially dehydrate you, but if plenty of water is consumed it is no longer an issue.

Thanks a LOT for the info fellas. Looks like it back to water and crystal light. I might have a diet dr. pepper (tastes more like the real doctor pepper) once in a while, but am going to try to kick the habit.

I wish I could remember the article I read in some magazine that talked about sodas. Basically it said that carbonation is CO2. You breath out CO2 b/c it would hurt your body if it stayed in there. Why would you want to put even more CO2 in your body? That is basically the tone of the article. I dont know enough to back this up myself but I could relate to the reasoning of it. Just my .02
