I started doing dips today. My first time and I was able to bang out 8 reps. I didn't think I could do that many, especially after 3 sets of bench press. I heard this is supposed to make your bench stronger. I could feel it work the front of my delts. Any one else benefit from these?:D ;) :D :p

i love weighted dips. i do them as my second chest exercise after incline dumbell presses( yes i know they work the triceps too ) and at my bodyweight of 225 plus 85 pounds strapped i can bang out 9 reps.

YO YO MAMMA!!!!!! Did this help increase bench press weight?

hu! you weigh 95#? Just joking dude. But I am seriously impressed. that's something to shoot for I guess. I'm used to other lifters being much stronger, so I just keep chippin' away at the stone:fro:

it will all come in time, its not a race erick but a lifestyle. I have been lifting for 5 years now. I started with nothing, weighing about 145 at 5'10. I peeked two months ago at 195 without any AS.

Right now I weigh 180 at about 5% body fat. This thread is funny because I don't really do weighted dips...but tday I wanted to see if I could do 95 pounds. Hit it 8 times...I was happy

Well that's good to hear that it helps the pressing exercises. I'm sort of weak at them for the amount of time I've been lifting. I've been lifting on and off for 8 years at least, but only seriously dedicated and near nonstop for about a year really. Fro's my favorite if you couldn't tell.:fro:
