Whenever I hear "a diamond is forever" I always think about how technically they're just carbon and will eventually be graphite .

At work a guy was telling me that he keeps hearing a diamond commercial that says a diamond will "leave her breathless". He said he thought that was a more polite way of saying "it'll shut her up".

A diamond wedding ring is a symbol of a commitment, nothing more. I think it would be wiser to buy a cheaper ring and put the money saved towards either a house, in a 401K, or save it for kids.
