so i made this post a while back

and i decided to not be a pussy and to just push through it, but even light weight hurts it now.

its only on exersises that stretch that exact area, (flat bench, decline bench i dont even do declines, and dips)

so i cant expload or push myself on highweight flat bench and dips i couldnt even handle no weight.

so im depressed and i am taking flat bench out for a while and dips out too.

i will focus on standing shoulder presses on my monday press day, and then see how flat dumbells (high rep and lighter weight i guess :() feel on my hurt area, and i will put inclines on my thursday press day, and i dont know what i will do in place of dips.

what should i put in place of dips on my thursday push day? should i just do gay fucking non dips, like french press, or do u think closegrip bench will hurt my chest? what should i do instead of dips.

so the stretch hurts it and everything else is good.

im drepspsed though, cause nothing works my chests like flat bench, i love it, but i cant do it anymore for at least a while.

fuck.

i told my workout partner i was gunna go home and kill myself
 
Don't go to such extremes...

I don't want to have to go to any more e-funerals.

i fucked up my back one day while doing a shoulder routine i believe it was... sucked ass big time!
i felt a little TINY pop in my back, i knew i was fucked! i got up put the weights away, and left... that night.... oh man... talk about discomfort!

had to take a week of because of it!
 
Get checked by an orthopedist. Light weights can cause damage too. Be sure nothing is torn and take your time coming back.

sounds like you may have a slight tear in your rotator cuff. maybe you should take a week or two off.

also, ill try this and see, cause theres no discomfort with inclines and stuff, and ill just avoid the pain and see where it gets me.

try light close grips instead of dips.

work only so you are pain free....seriously. anything that "hurts" it means you are not helping it. stretch is fine, but pain is not.

how do you bench? elbows flared? how do you dip? body vertical? legs behind you or tucked knees and more of a decline?

go through a variety of motions: pressing in diff planes, pullovers, pulldowns and see what causes discomfort, that will help you narrow down whats wrong....if you can't get to a sports knowledgable doc.

okay ill do closegrips instead of dips.

i was dipping leaning forward some with feet behind me a bit. it wouldnt surprise me if the dips are what fucked me over initially, and flat just agrevates it when i go deep,

i have my elbows not at 90, but not pushed to my sides either. more of a PL bench

weights hurt it and when i do like the flared "bb" style bench even just in the air i feel it. but even PL style bench and no weighted dips fuck with it.

dips hurt the most, it was definately the dips that fucked me, fuck.

i appreciate all the help everyone.
 
Sucks, I have somewhat of a shoulder problem and it limits me on my bench and press's.

Closegrip is definitely the best. Let those tri's get lots of actions for a bit. Eat alot, drink alot, sleep alot, take vitamins, dont stress too much, smoke a little dro to take the edge of if you gotta, make sure you do some good warmups before all your workouts and weight sets. Do what you have to in order to help your body recover faster. Stop depressing, cause that aint gonna help your chest.

You can. You just don't want to. You've been doing the same for so long you think it's come to be an integral part of your life. Get used to change homey cause college isn't exactly lifting/health friendly shall we say.

how isnt it? canned tuna, canned chicken, foreman grill, oatmeal, tuna, microwaved eggs, microwave sweet potatos, etc etc

Well it's not about the availablilty of shit really. I mean if you have a car and some extra cash you should be good to go. But people bitching about the smell of your food and criticizing your lifestyle 24/7 cause you're not 'college' like the rest of them is what gets most. Have fun lifting at a gym where most, but not all people come to socialize, flirt with chicks, sit on machines for extended periods of time to look like they can lift, hear people talk about how fucked up they were last night then complain they aren't strong anymore, while wearing cut off frat shirts, shaggy hair, iPods and New Balance shoes. All this is all done for one week where they want to look good: Spring Break. College gyms have fewer dedicated and respective members IMO than any other type of gym. Not to mention you will be living people who chances are don't have the same lifestyle as you.

and the injury has me depressed, only because todays workout sucked cuz of it,

but hey, i know what i gotta do, i gotta get big bowling ball shoulders from focusing on standing OHP and inclines as my main presses.

ill also get huge fucking monster triceps from closegrips.

im gunna get fucking monstrous
 
sub, i'm serious- get it checked out and take some time off. i've been there more times than you've had wet dreams and the time off is GOOD for you. you won't lose all your size or strength and you NEED to heal or you'll really never get stronger/bigger.

also, you taking glucosamine? MSM? Glutamine?

do it. take them.

Slow down Mario, you're going to fast. Take time off. It will help you in the long run. If you hurt yourself even more, you may be out even longer.

you get them at whatever healthfood store, suppliment shop, or internet site you shop at. i'll write up amounts for you.
