I will be getting 80mg of Depo Medrol and 40 mg for 3 weeks after the first as a nerve block for problems I have related to my most recent hernia surgery. What can you tell me about this drug? Will I get anything from this? thanks

Depo-Medrol is a long acting corticosteroid (methylprednisolone). Not anabolic in any way, in fact these are catabolic in nature, and potent anti-inflammatories.
Some is absorbed into the systemic cirdulation, probably not enough to have a deleterious effect with a one-time use.
