Deep tissue massage night before show?

I hear that sometimes a good deep tissue massage could help push out unwanted water under the skin. Is this true? Can I benefit from it? Its free so $ is not an issue.

hell no man..stay away from that

a dehydrated muscle can be easily popped out of place
had that shit happen to me when i got a massage a week out from a show.
If you carb depleted, properly load and manipulate your H20 sodium and potassium levels properly you should be fine.
as water decreases blood plasma levels decrease and as a survivial mechanism the body pulls water from subcutaneous stores to refill the vascular system and water depleted muscle tissue(especially in the presence of carbs and sodium)

i think cutler uses a specialized massage therapist during his off season to help stretch the fascia. a national level guy at my gym does 3 times a week with 3 seperate massage therapists, 1 deep tissue, 1 using these stones (not sure the name) and 1 using an a.r.t. therapsit. he is crazy rich so he has the means. he is completely massive, 310 in the off season at @ 5'8". he says he needs it to continue making gains and keeping range of motion. he actually had to have surgery on a joint that became nearly immbolized from too much muscle blocking the joint action.

so in the off season it seems to be very beneficial.

absolutely agreed
I get deep tissue therapy once a week in the offseason for 2 hours. I up that to 2 2 hour sessions during precontest. Obviously I stop it 2 weeks out from the show. Ifeel its important enough to drop 600$ on a month. I have been completley injury free and gotten unbeleiveable results since I began this practice a year ago
went from 213 in contest shape to 244 in BETTER shape

No, nothing major other than the tissue therapy. If anything. i took less AAS then in the past, eat habits are very similar, same sources, just more protein to accomodate the increase in muscle mass. I even did 3 contests in the past year. Still have gained 30 lbs.
I gotta give credit cause i think the major change has been the deep tissue therapy, it allowed me to recover much much faster and not be hindered by joint pain @ all. I have always trained hard, every bodypart 2x a week, heavy, low rep one workout and higher rep in the other. The key for me has been in the aded ROM the tissue work has afforded and as stated previously, the dramatic improvement in recovery

NICE!

Thanks bro... I wonder if i'll be able to put on some more substantial mass naturally with this under my belt after awhile... Can't wait!

Sent some K your way!

dullboy has no idea what the fuck he's talking about but would think that a deep tissue massage would be a terrible idea as you'll be draining some of your lymphatic system which is going to cause you to retain more water as your kidneys and liver deal with flushing out your dirty blood.
