Deconditioning?

hey i can only tell you what works/ed for me. i have been in the game for a while and see alot of guys try low reps to get big. my gradual process seems to be working. it has since i was 12. but the low rep thing seems to not work for everyone around me is all.

if i was going to prepare for a max, i would do some ramp up routine to get used to handling the weight. the end result is just strength not size

i just re read the original post. he asks "should i go from 6-8 to 10-12 for deconditioning." you replied that he should be doing 10-12 for anyway because 6-8 is *low rep* and strength/size you get from doing so is *fake*. that is dog shit! on both counts!

Has anyone pointed him to the Dave Gulledge thread yet?

jochensa, you sound like someone who is still in their first year or two of training and haven't tried much yet. Apologies if that's not so but that's how you're coming across. Take a look at some of the many vids floating around of strength athletes. You tend not to find any small and successful strength athletes. They might be carrying a lot of fat, since that does help with lifts, but they also carry huge amounts of muscle.

Top Olympic lifters generally start at around 350 ish. You might dislike the look but don't suggest that they're small.

no doubt they are strong, and no i dont like the look. i did say in my last post if i was goign to max or total on the regular. i would handle heavier weight. like all the greats b4 me i tend to rustle a few feathers with my training techs.

are you an alter?

3 pages of shit........why not just say, incorpate all rep ranges in every session.......first exerc. goe as low as 4-5, then as the session progresses, incorporate higher reps....

Sorry, man this seems to happen with a controversial poster like yourself. You seem to have a talent for provoking contentious threads that members can't help but look in on and get dragged into. I don't know where we'd be without you and your insistant questioning of things that so many just take for granted or dismiss as obvious.

i dont know guys i tend not to agree with the majority, but then again i dont look like tho majority do i. you guys take more gear in one cycle than i take in a year. and still i am left thoruoghly unimpressed by the physiques and numbers you guys acheive. i know i am new here but i will be here for a while. baaaaa to all you sheep, the sheperd in online.
