They WERE going well, but with 2 full body intense workouts a week, all the rest pause beyond failure reps were really cutting into my recovery. I've since switched to 2 sets of 5. It sucks, but I'll just set a new goal for a 5 rep max. Perhaps 300 lbs. Not a plausible New Year goal, I'm thinking maybe try and hit it before my birthday (Feb. 18th).
They're an awesome occasional change of pace but too much to recover from if done regularly IMO, I have no idea how people can keep doing them week after week... must have conjones of iron. what did you get up to for the 20's?
