If I could reach his head, I would have! He's not innocent and really hurt me that he did that. He's got no skills to deal with this crazy bitch. He's 18 going on 16 in a lot of ways. In my family, we got beat if we disrespected our mama...probably still would!

I've had to completely back off. We parted on very poor terms and had almost two weeks of no contact. But...I've had to realize it's his life and his journey. He WILL respect my house as long as I'm paying the bills but I've said my piece on her and have to let it go. He spent Christmas saying he wanted to be single so who the hell knows what's real. It sucks!
 
I thought I was a badass when I was about 15 and got my first little stubble growth on my nuts, and my big ass Dad manhandled me and threw me through a locked wooden gate for talking to my mom like she was stupid

The docs here said they'd report her to the university for misrepresenting herself and she's never work here but that feels like karma could bite me on that one so I left it. I don't think she'll finish anyway

He's 18 and thinks he's a man and knows it all. He's not stupid, don't get his ego all worked up to where he makes stupid decisions to prove you wrong. Allow him to be the man you raised him to ad he will figure out what you already know soon enough.

No. But he's right to some degree

If a crazy gets a hold of your teenage kid you have to stay the adult. You're the parent. You can't expect they'll pick you over someone they're sleeping with. You can't give ultimatums. Hopefully you raise your kids well enough that they respect you. I was raised to respect my parents. We don't cuss, drink or even think about anything inappropriate in their almighty presence lol

But I went through that phase too.

You're exactly right! My head knows it and my heart isn't quite there. It hurts! I know most of you guys still have little kids but I never thought letting go and watching your kid be retarded and growing up would be so hard. Makes me realize what I've put my parents through. Thanks plank....you summarized perfectly what I'm realizing.

I mean, how fucking stupid can you possibly be? I knew he was stupid, but this is next level. He lives in the same tiny town as like 40 family members of mine - even if his youtube comments didn't constantly post to his google plus page, I could confirm his death in like ten seconds.

I could honestly only laugh. Now what's he going to do, stalk me from the grave?

Same tiny town as 40 or so family members? It's the kind of place where everyone knows everyone, I've been visiting more than once a year since I was basically born. There's one bar in a 20 mile span that isn't populated by old local drunks (ie: young people actually go there), so when I was in town and I wanted to visit with friends, we'd meet up there. He's a regular.

We were friendly, but not friends.

That reminds me of that show on Investigation Discovery called Obsession: Dark Desires. Creeps like that end up trying to hurt someone way more often than we think. Enough to fill up like 4 channels of late night television with 4 hour blocks of different episodes played back to back every night every weeknight lol

I actually take it really seriously any time I'm back in the area. I have not been back to that bar since I found out he was completely unstable (about 2.5 years ago), and I cut ties with anyone who is friends with him so he never knows when I am in town. I could probably get a restraining order, but he had mostly tapered off in the last year as I blocked just about every channel of contact (He got around fb by activating a profile just long enough to send a message, then deactivating it before I could block or report it). When I didn't hear anything over the holidays, I thought it was over. Then, the death announcement lol.

That's kind of my hope. I wouldn't put it past him to keep contacting me to try and get a response, even if it is "hey, aren't you supposed to be dead?" But I like to think even he realizes he backed himself into a corner.

He's never had one outside my dad and two brothers. Lots of good men over the years through coaches but I've done this on my own from day one. The ex went from a high functioning, intelligent guy to a crack head. After the third stint in rehab and a bunch of other crappy stuff, I left. Last I heard, he hit the third strike and went back to jail (he's Merican). He doesn't even know if I had a boy or a girl...never been a part of it.
