Damn near died tonight

smart me put my summer tires on my car and wouldnt ya know it fucking snows today, i was pretty nervous but figured taking it easy would be good enough.

I was wrong,i was coming from work and going to the gym,dropped my partner off and was on my way to the gym,I went over an overpass which was fricken icy and snow covered and went into a spin,im not to sure what happened but I musta spun a few times before coming to a stop right against the curb.

if I had of hopped the curb I would have easily broken through the shitty metal railing and landed on the highway below and most definately died or been really hurt.

I was pretty damn shook up,but still got my workout in.

you folks havne't learned that lesson yet? I bet only 20% of canadians have snow blowers and nat. gas heaters.

First thing I did when i started making money -- buy them a 4x4 suv and a snow blower.

I wanted an suv but insurance and gas was too much, front wheel drive is good and I had no issues with it when the other tires were on it, usually a good set of all seasonals do the trick,but I put my low pro's and rims on it monday.

oh and I own a snowblower,im a lazy bitch,no shovelling here

Yeah you never know when the weather will fuck you over, so best to keep your snow tires on til mid April to May.

This one year up in MN, in April, it was about 30 deg. F one week and 90 deg, the next, I mean literally. Well it stayed hot for about a week, and wouldn't ya know, BAM, the next week we got like 8 in. of snow. I was like WTF is this?

Just goes to show, those summer tires, probably marked All Weather, just plain SUCK on snow. I go to full snow treads from October 15 to the end of April. Of course I go skiing nearly every weekend so it is required.

Whoever thought all weather was a great idea should be paying the price for the accidents people get into due to piss poor tread in snow.

Close call! I'm glad you're alright. I've had many of them. I was hit by an 18 wheeler traveling at 60+ mph. I was spun around several times. THe gas tank barely missed me. Only my great strength saved me. I've had several wrecks but have never been hurt because I'm like superman. Thank goodness noone else was hurt either.

spent a week in breckenridge CO with a shitty minivan with regular tires and no problems
