I was wondering if anyone on here has ever heard of the doctors giving you your levels on a scale from .9 to 5.0 according to my dads doc that is the way that they tested his test levels and my dad apparently is only a 1 on this scale and the doc says that his levels are low but he dont really want to start him on any hormone treatments for fear of when he (the doc) stops the treatments my dad will crash harder and have lower levels from before he started the treatment. Now i thought when you went on HRT you were on for life pretty much. I told my dad if he feels that his problem of feeling tired all the time and lower sex drive to go and see a endocrinologist since they are the experts on all of this. Anyways im not going to write a book was just looking for some other peoples thoughts on that scale that he rated my dad on. Oh yeah my dad is 43 and has never done any kind of hormones in the past. Any info guys. :)

Let us know when you want to stop using "Dad" as a metaphor for yourself and just ask us an honest question

Everything is glorious my friend, as glorious as the ocean is blue. I desperatly want to make love to a school boy.

Sorry I don't have anything valid to add to this thread lol. At least I bumped it.

honestly can't say much bro. its all up to your dad. there are many natural ways to increase your test levels. does he try any of them? does his lift and stay active? how is his diet?

iggy is right about the natty ways to raise test,, because b4 he goes on hrt you have to look at his over all health and or health issues.. that said if he wants hrt he could go to another endo and probably be put right on, but its a decision that has to be made only after a lot of research.....

I'm trying to get my dad to check into this too. It seems like that generation is a little nervous about this stuff and wouldn't "push" like we would. If i was a 1 i would either push the doc or find another one.

My dad on the other hand doesn't want to go to the doctor to begin with. Suffer in silence, that's what men have been taught to do.

Good luck bro. I hope your dad gets the treatment.

Yes have him go to an endo. and yes get him on hrt. He will look and feel better, have better sex drive and hard-ons, not be as tired, and be more of a go getter at work. I've been on hrt for a year now, well I blast and cruise, but 200mgs/every week or two will have him feeling real good. Takes about a month or two to really notice a huge differance at that dose. Get him on a weight training program. He'll be very happy.

Definitely. For a male, test is what gives life that "pop". Don't die until you're dead.

I told him he needs to go to an actual endo and get checked there i dont know what kind of doc he seen i think it is just a family practice doc but i am not sure. The doc told him if he put him on the shots there are not good side effects that come along with the shots like a enlarged prostate. So the doc gave him a script for 15 Viagra, i told my dad that is a temp fix for the sex drive deal and if he got put on hrt he would feel like a 20 year old again and i did mention that he should start hitting the weights he isnt in bad health and dont eat much junk my mom cooks pretty good meals at least she did when i lived there lol.

your dad is 43? that's not your dad, that's your buddy bro..lol lucky mofo. I am 32 and my dad is 76...:( and I talked to him once about HRT and he was very interested but he has 2 heart surgeries with 5 by-passes and I don't want him to touch anything that could put his heart on stress.
