Curious about green tea?

I haven't actually bought green tea in teabag form or capsules.....but the Cardio Breeze has green tea in it, so does that count?? LOL

Are you going to being cycling the CB or are you going to be adding that to the Trex, Lev, YES combo. And you want to add extra green tea???

Back in November 04, I bought the 1-A-Day Vitamin for Weight Control or something, and every morning I took it...I would get sick...esp. in the bathroom at work...

So Basically everyone thought I was prego (immaculate conception)...ergo, I stopped taking it and I stopped getting sick... lady at GNC (grain:salt) said it was reaction to Green Tea, yet I've never had that problem ever again with any other supps with green tea as an ingredient...

Oh well, that's my story of the day... My body chem is whack, and HH you do not 'suck' ... ::qt: The End

The way you just worded that made me sound like a supplements junkie. hahahaha

I was going to add the CB to all of the above. Perhaps I should keep the additional green tea out of the mix???

Ehh gads, help! :worried:

I drink green tea for its anti-oxidants which may have a protective effect against cancer. The chemicals in the tea shut down a key molecule which can play a significant role in the development of cancer. I don't know if these benefits have been proven but green tea has always been talked about in a positive way.

Green Tea is great for glucose clearance and increasing your metabolism. If you're taking Levorex you simply don't need more.
Ok so no green tea. But, CB?? Should I ADD it to the t-rex/l-rex or cycle it on and off? (should I really means can i?) :worried:

I could definitely use some help in the am for cardio. (yawns)

The L-rex in the am isn't doin' it so much.

I didn't catch how much Trex you're using. I use CB with Trex to get a bump for cardio. But that's me. It will work I just don't want to see you get too jacked and not like it.

T-rex jacks with my tum tum if I dont eat first. So I take 4 L-rex at 5:30am on an empty stomach for cardio session (for the optimal fat burning experience of course ;) )

I take 2 T-rex....3 times a day with food.

Don't worry about me getting too jacked...i'm a former ephedra fanatic....2 years later and I'm still having withdrawls. :worried: *sighs*

I kind of like the feeling. :worried:

I bought the Green Tea extract from the AF store...and WOW what a boost. I think my CNS died (long time ago) and for some reason when using the green tea with my T-Rex I felt a HUGE boost!!! Not sure why this is? I bought it for the antioxidants so that was a great surprise and bonus. Very glad I did.

egcg will enhance thermogenic and to some extent stim effects (more in some than others)

though it is also about 8% caffeine (40mg) per cap

All I know regarding this issue is that I went from drinking an XL Earl Grey tea with 4 sugar and 3 milk, to an XL Green tea. Anybody who's from Canada knows Tim Horton's and I swear to god I pay the rent for that business every single month. Regardless I needed a healthier choice and something that "felt" like I was "getting a coffee on my way to work" on a daily basis. That is what I replaced it with. ;)

When I am cutting I will drink green tea to replace coffee for that extra go without creamer. It rocks. Supplies nice energy and antioxidants.

nive benefit of green tea (egcg in particular)

Green tea polyphenol epigallocatechin gallate inhibits adipogenesis and induces apoptosis in 3T3-L1 adipocytes.

Lin J, Della-Fera MA, Baile CA.

444 Edgar L. Rhodes Center for Animal and Dairy Science, University of Georgia, Athens, GA 30602-2771, USA.

OBJECTIVE: Green tea catechins have been shown to promote loss of body fat and to inhibit growth of many cancer cell types by inducing apoptosis. The objective of this study was to determine whether epigallocatechin gallate (EGCG), the primary green tea catechin, could act directly on adipocytes to inhibit adipogenesis and induce apoptosis. RESEARCH METHODS AND PROCEDURES: Mouse 3T3-L1 preadipocytes and mature adipocytes were used. To test the effect of EGCG on viability, cells were incubated for 3, 6, 12, or 24 hours with 0, 50, 100, or 200 microM EGCG. Viability was quantitated by MTS assay. To determine the effect of EGCG on apoptosis, adipocytes were incubated for 24 hours with 0 to 200 microM EGCG, then stained with annexin V and propidium iodide and analyzed by laser scanning cytometry. Both preadipocytes and adipocytes were also analyzed for apoptosis by terminal deoxynucleotidyl transferase dUTP nick-end labeling assay. To determine the effect of EGCG on adipogenesis, maturing preadipocytes were incubated during the 6-day induction period with 0 to 200 microM EGCG, then stained with Oil-Red-O and analyzed for lipid content. RESULTS: EGCG had no effect on either viability or apoptosis of preconfluent preadipocytes. EGCG also did not affect viability of mature adipocytes; however, EGCG increased apoptosis in mature adipocytes, as demonstrated by both laser scanning cytometry and terminal deoxynucleotidyl transferase dUTP nick-end labeling assays. Furthermore, EGCG dose-dependently inhibited lipid accumulation in maturing preadipocytes. DISCUSSION: These results demonstrate that EGCG can act directly to inhibit differentiation of preadipocytes and to induce apoptosis of mature adipocytes and, thus, could be an important adjunct in the treatment of obesity.

AF has the best price on high EGCG, Green tea extract

Ok, I have been taking green tea supps.. since I plan on using T-rex soon, is it even neccesary to cotinue with the green tea supps.. or just a waste of $$?
thanks!

no its not a waste of money. While there is a decent amount of EGCG (75mg/cap) in thermorexin, you can still benefit from more.

though unless you are taking a high potency extract like Scotts Finest EGCG, its unlikely that you are getting a lot of EGCG per cap.

depends, are you taking caps or tea?

most likely reason with either- low blood sugar. Both have glucose clearance effects.
Caps ... never tried the T but I always use to get sick from it.

I added them back in today to take with my next meal, even though I'm sure I get plenty from the Lev & T-Rex :D

I drink decaf green tea almost every day for it's antioxident properties.

Is it any good for anything if it's decaf?

I try not to have stimulants after about 4pm, if I do I won't sleep.

I'm currently taking T-rex/L-rex and using YES. Going to get some cardio breeze to kick things up a notch....but curious, how many people take green tea? What your experience has been with it...results and such.
Just want to see if it's worth tossing in the "to buy" basket.

Hi,I am from China and a lot of people here usually take green tea. I want to say something about it as far as I know, hope it will help u some.
Green tea will do good to lose fat but not all the people fit to take it. If ur habitus tend to "cold" you are fit for black tea, if ur habitus tend to "hot" you are fit for green tea.

here are the two poles of habitus:
Hot:usually feel little thirsty and drink more water, wear less ,little sore throat(not serious!),high metabolic rate
cold:usually feel cold in hands and foot, wear more, usually diarrhoea(not serious!), low metabolic rate

Your habitus can be transformable in many ways, such as body buiding, diet fitness ......
