Crossfit

Canadian military is getting into crossfit now, or at least their version of it.

That makes perfect sense. I'm guessing the pilot program was done in Quebec, just so they could also tap into the fierce fighting resolve of the French as well.
 
Gymnasts make those look like they're as easy as getting out of a chair.

I haven't tried them on rings, which is what gymnasts use, but I've been told it's easier than doing them on a pullup bar.

yes, rings allow you to bring your hands down your center line before you explode onto your triceps. On a pullup bar, you basically have to do a pullup so hard that your momentum carry's you up over the bar. That is an extremely advanced maneuver. There's probably only a very small percentage of even professional athletes that can do that.
 
Lol there are lots that do it on a pull up bar

like who? I've asked a lot of people around the gyms I go to (3 in total) to do it or see if they can do it because I really want to learn it, I've only seen one guy do it and he was a crossfitter.
