crash gear on purpose?

if you have ampoules and you place them in the fridge or freezer to purposley crash them, can you find out if its legit this way? becuz if so under those temperatures it should crystallize right? any info would be appreciated or if sum1 has tried it and how their experience went.

I'm not sure have had gear get cold not frozen though I'd rather just take it and see if its real
