This is the land of immigrants. Right now it just happens to be Cubans, Mexicans, other Hispanics, Asians, whatever. Their children will grow up and pay your social security, medicare, etc. It's just growing pains for the country. Accept them, embrace them, love them

(1) They are 3-5 years later when they pay $140.

(2) People DROP their babies on our soil so they can be citizens. And we pay for it.

We should be like European countries -- if you're ILLEGAL -- and you drop your baby (anchor baby) -- the baby doesn't get citizenship. Hence, they don't have any of these citizenship babies of convenience on their soil.

Citizenship shouldn't be bestowed on kids of pregnant mothers who decide to run the border the moment contraptions kick in. It's a insult to the word "american".

1- In order to become a citizen the process is 1yr long, you must:
- Have been a LEGAL PERMANENT Green Card holder for 5 years. In those five years, you must show proof of, -Having paid Taxes, -Having registered for selective service(Males 18-25), -NOT have any felony convictions on your record. Your finger prints are cross referenced with the FBI,CIA and Interpol. -NOT have used any Gov aid. You are allowed to use a type of "Emergency Medicare" once, but thats about it.

If you qualify under those requirements, you pay a $500 application fee. You must have a 1 on 1 interview with an INS officer, pass a written test in ENGLISH and then get sworn in as a citizen. It takes about a year from the time you apply, and you must be a good citizen for at least 5 years before you apply.

There is only ONE way for a Legal Immigrant to become a citizen in 3yrs time. To sign up for the Armed forces, 3yr minimum.

illegals cannot get into 95% of the Gov Welfare programs outhere. The only welfare program illegals can qualify for is Emergency Medicare (For pregnant mothers, children under the age of 18yrl) This is temporary aid for emergency proceadures or maternal care.


When you talk about Welfare programs you are talking about things like Sec. 8 (The governemt pays your rent!) Permanent Medicare, Food Stamps stuff that you couldn't even apply for if you are illegal.


Seems like a lot of folks have this idea that people cross the border into the USA and then kick up their feet and wait for the Gov to support them... That could not be farther from the truth.

I have met hundreds of people that have migrated here from other contries from around the world. The mentality is pretty much the same across the board. They want to work their asses off, 2-3 jobs so they can make ends meet, buy a home and put their kids thru college so that they won’t have to wash toilets for $7hr. Live the american dream...

What was the point of all that? How did that refute anything i said?

I said, once the amnesty occurs, they get legal status -- and later on they can become citizens.

The movement of human capital should not be stoped, the only reason why that causes problems is because the welfare state also attracts leeches.

If you want an example of immigration handled the worst possible way look at Sweden's current situation with all the Arabs that keep comming. It is REALLY fucked up right now.
