Cost of Illegal Immigrants to Floridians

Big Rick Rock said:
Illegal immigrants can't vote.... Are you talking about hispanics in general like the ones born here?

(1) they will once the next amnesty comes. And they'll remember which party fought for their rights

(2) their kids (and illegals have 3x the birth-rate of normal americans) who'll vote for them once they turn 18.

Chalk up 20 million illegals (future citizens), now give each one 2-3 kids each (already citizens and future voters) -- as a politician -- do the math.

1- Amnesty programs do not turn illegal aliens into citizens. It gives them a temporary or permanent legal immigrant status. Legal aliens (green card holders) CAN NOT VOTE. That is a privilege reserved for citizens.

2- A kid born in the USA is an American Citizen no matter where their parents came from. They pay taxes and serve in the armed forces just the same as any other American.

What i find weird about the US is that illegals can cross the border and work easily and then receive citizenship (or at least their kids) but legal immigration is damn hard for honest folks.

At least in Canada illegals are treated like shit whenever we find them. That means even after 5 years on our soil, they can be kicked out no matter their medical condition.

It's fing hard to get into this country these days. So what if they are illegal, at least they work, they arn't on the street begging for money like the lazy ass homeless people

(1) They are 3-5 years later when they pay $140.

(2) People DROP their babies on our soil so they can be citizens. And we pay for it.

We should be like European countries -- if you're ILLEGAL -- and you drop your baby (anchor baby) -- the baby doesn't get citizenship. Hence, they don't have any of these citizenship babies of convenience on their soil.

Citizenship shouldn't be bestowed on kids of pregnant mothers who decide to run the border the moment contraptions kick in. It's a insult to the word "american".

This is the land of immigrants. Right now it just happens to be Cubans, Mexicans, other Hispanics, Asians, whatever. Their children will grow up and pay your social security, medicare, etc. It's just growing pains for the country. Accept them, embrace them, love them :)

and ... Pay for them, and the criminals and gang-bangers they bring along with them...

If you're a drug-dealer in mexico -- which pays more? Dealing in TJ or dealing in downtown LA?

Illegal advocates never talk about those "other" folks crossing the borders in record numbers.

Analysis of the latest Census data indicates Florida's illegal immigrant population is costing the state's taxpayers $4.3 billion per year for education, medical care and incarceration. Even if the estimated taxes collected from illegal immigrant workers are subtracted, net outlays still amount to more than $3.3 billion per year.......

......The total costs of illegal immigration to the state's taxpayers would be considerably higher if other cost areas such as special English instruction, welfare programs used by the U.S.-born children of illegal aliens, or welfare benefits for American workers displaced by illegal alien workers were also calculated......

They go into a great deal of detail in how they arrived at their numbers, in addition they provide recommendations on how to stop this.

I believe that illegal immigration is going to be the hot topic in the 2008 presidential elections. Folks are just getting tired of their communities being over run by law breakers and the slime ball polititians that pander to the interests of non-citizens. Americans are tired of being lied to and having the federal government steam roll its way (can we say CAFTA?) through. We have eyes and politically correct dogma is losing it's appeal as we see that it is really nothing more than emporer's new clothes.

It won't because not enough politicians will have the balls to stick their necks out and risk losing that minority vote.

I should be president. This country would be back on track.
