Im posting this as a warning to anyone who plans to buy a computer from bestbuy.

I work at a IA and software provider and we get many calls from people who bought computers at best buy on a creditcard and then have accts set up with our internet and because the plan usually includes a free year or 6 months you wont notice right away.and there have even been cases of people telling bestbuy they dont want the internet offer and still get it because some little punk at best buy wanted a 60cent bonus.

and becareful with the term commits where you get a rebate of say 400$ for a 3 yr contract as they are bad news also and bestbuy usually sets you up with two accts on those also

just a heads up for the elite brothers and sisters,I know we have better things to spend money on like gear and food and not being fucked by bestbuy,so if you do buy a pc from this shit business pm me and I can tell you the provider I work for and then you can call and run a check with us to see if you have a acct based on the cc you have purchased with

That's what I say. I built my computer. And will probably build my next one. Dell is the next best bet and they give you tech support and a warranty. But best buy does h ave a great deal on CD-Rs. 75 40x CD-Rs by Precsion for $12.99. Hard to beat that.

Discounts on gaming stuff isn't for shit.

The real savings comes in on big ticket items and car audio.

I went nuts when I worked there. I miss the discount, but not enough to work there again.

I got over $100 off my Car CD player like 6 years ago when i worked there. The biggest discounts are on cables like Monster Cables and all those assories that cost a shit load. Retail for some Monster cable is like $50 you get it for $5 or $10

Actually, you can buy as much as you want for yourself and your immediate family, but they do track purchases.

Very rarely do they restrict what items you can buy.
