computer question...about add ons

Try logging off, shutting down your computer, and never turning it back on again!

LOL- No really, in IE if you look on the right hand side inder the red x (close button) there should be a settings, well below that there is a tools button..Click on tools.Choose manage add ons button. Make sure your add ons are enabled if you want them or disabled if you dont want them.
Hopefully that helps, IT people via telephone sometimes suck!

angel, when I went to do that, "manage add ons" was in the list of choices, but it is gray instead of black, meaning I can't click on it. It's inactive for whatever reason. Shucks.

Am I in the room?

Well that is quite odd, you might possibly be set up as the guest or default of the computer instead of the administrator, meaning you cannot make changes unless you go into the registry key.

Try doing what DT suggested, you may have luck and it most likely will bypass the blocked settings.
