compete one more time?

I had decided not to compete anymore and have been doing much more cardio than lifting lately, but there's a competition in january that is near me... I'm probably in a lower weight class now and could do well if my shoulder holds up.

should i stick to my guns and retire, or start training to win? I'm tired of recovering.

hmmph. maybe I should. I can at least start training for it... if i decide its not going well, i can back out i guess.
I just ordered an entire home gym too- i got everything- power rack, bench, weights, etc... i'm tired of going to the gym if I don't have to (its 30 minutes away). So i'm excited about lifting, just not about the recovery after the comp.

I have all that in my back yard also, have a little shed back there with a few hundred lbs of weight, a rack that has about everything I need. The only thing I hate is the leg extension part, sucks ass... really!

About to move, and beings I assembled that bitch all on my own I know how hard it will be to disassemble and then put back together. blah!

Hey... wanna help? I'll cook, you assemble ;)

OMG... are you serious? I can walk you thru some very easy dishes, damn good but also easy. You haven't eaten until you have eaten cajun tuts.

Just two days ago a sweet young kid in my gym asked me if I was getting ready for a show. I was mighty flattered as I am NOWHERE NEAR that any more.

I say, if you feel it... do it. But if it is too much strain on your body, why bother?

BTW - which show is it? NPC or other org?

cause I ain't as young as I used to be.
and because it takes me longer to recover. the last time, I decided that would be the last time- i seem to get hurt a lot. I have a shelf of trophies and don't need more, but this one is so convenient and now that I'm not working an actual job, i have time to train.
thanks for your support everyone (except aap). I think i'll start training for it, and see where it takes me.

I judged and APF bench meet on Saturday. A woman broke the state record with a 140lb bench.. LOL.
