Anyone else have comcast? Anyone have any problems? I never had problems with Time Warner, but now that they are Comcast I want to murder them. I am seriously going to switch providers if they don't show again. I have been trying to get digital phone installed for a month now. This will make the 4th time they didn't show. They have one hour to get here or I am going to call and raise hell. This is crazy!! Two times they set the appointment and didnt show up. The last time I made 3rd appointment I called day before to confirm and they said my appointment was cancelled.. by who!?? They promised they would be here today or I would get a $20 credit on my account. Wow thanks guys. I have wasted all my time sitting for all of these 4 hour windows and I get $20 bucks. I am lucky!

They've done the same thing to me. I finally just gave up on them. I guess they didnt want me as a customer.

If they treat potential customers like that just imagine how they treat current customers.

Cable companies are monopolies. They don't give a fuck because you're choice are essentially zero unless you go to satellite.

I have comcast and have had it for a year or so. Used to be adelphia. I have barely any issues, however I have noticed that they have their ups and downs. When the city first changed over we had many issues though as of lately there have been barely any. Good luck calling them and trying to talk, that is all I gotta say. LOL

Thanks guys! Yeah I know they don't give a shit that is why I have no choice, but to give up and call someone else. Any of you know if AT&T digital cable and dsl is any good? I think that is about the only other option I have in my area. If I switch I will need digital cable, dsl, and phone line. It just sucks that I will have to pay install feels to switch just because Comcast can't do their job.

It all depends on where you live. I have no other options here besides Direct tv or the Dish network. Comcast is the only actual cable television distributed around here

my internet will randomly go off for periods of like a minute, every 5 minutes. its fucking bullshit.

sometimes i have to unplug the internet (restart the modem) and it will start working all o fa sudden.

one time, it wouldnt go back on and i called them and they are like "hmm, thats funny internet is switched off going to your house, give us a second" and they turned it back on.

its like, hmm thats funny, it was working 30 minutes ago, you fucking scumbag piece of shit bastards

The internet is good, no complaints...but my digi bill is about to go up $60 per month after the promotion shit.........

You cannot receive collect calls, so if you have a relative incarcerated they cannot call you. They do not tell you this. We switched from Verizon to comcast because of the price difference when my son couldn't get thru we then found out and had to switch back. Total mess. Comcast would not release my fax line number so had to get a new one and re-make business cards etc.

when i moved out here to DC i was worried about not having the land line, but it hasnt been a problem at all. lumberg and I both have cell phones plus i have a cell for work. we havent had the need for a land line at all. lol we also dont have cable tv. we're kind of frugal in that regard

My gf and my brothers all use cells exclusively.

The only downside is if I lose it.

Well we have not had a land line for years. We just recently got it for business purposes. Personally calls will still be on the cell. You don't need a landline we were even able to call 911 few yrs ago and they were still here within 5 minutes with no problems.

I think it all depends on the length of a marriage. You really think a man who has only been married for a few months is going to ignore his wife?? NO, cause then he loses his chance of the sexes. Besides the fact that all men treat their woman best in the beginning of the relationship, proven fact. Now a man who has been married for quite some time yes, may most likely ignore his wife and not think of her the same way he did years before.

Yeah Comcast rips you off but for me they're the only option for high speed internet. They said they fixed my dvr but I still can't record shit. For some reason in my area you also are required to have at least a basic cable subscription if you want high speed internet.

Yeah the only other choice I have is AT&T and I have not heard good things about their high speed internet. Ah well at least they showed up this time and finally got the job done. I have no problems with the products with Comcast it is just their customer service that sucks.

My parents are crazy worried about some huge catastrophe that will knock out all cell phone towers.....I kinda see their point...land lines are powered from the phone line itself, not the electric lines.
