We have DirecTV in SoCal, and rabbit ears antenna in Dallas. We have Verizon MiFi internet, which is a cellphone-based "high-speed" (LOL) broadband service. There is no DSL or cable where our place is outside Moorpark, CA, and even if there were, it doesn't make sense to have internet service being paid for here and in Dallas when we're only in one place at a time, so the MiFi cards are the best deal. If we were close enough to the TV stations in SoCal, I'd just have rabbit ears here too. For phones, we have only cellphones. But we have cheap basic fax lines here, and also in Dallas, that we can use if we need to dial 911 (lots of luck trying to call 911 from a cellphone... All I ever get when I have tried, is the busy signal, or a message in Spanish!!!!).
