overall it was a good movie, cruise did well but hes too "big" for that role, someone who wasnt as famous as him would have made the movie better, other than that it was pretty good, i didnt mind the ending, but i think ray, manchurian candidate and city of god are also up there on the 2004 movies list.

i just wanted to add this so that ppl didnt think i was stupid, i saw city of god in 2004 in theaters at a small movie theater that played recent movies for cheaper prices, after its limited release in 2003.
